Allenmore Golf Course
About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Great Day on the course
Great time had by all. I'd highly recommend this course to everyone. Course was in good condition greens were a little dry.
However, all in all our 3-some really enjoyed playing and we will be back. Staff was courteous, professional and helpful.
Great day
Had a great day with my best friend. It was misting a bit for the first 8 or 9 holes but then it cleared up and we had great weather. The course was in pretty good shape with the exception of a few soft areas so we were "cart path only" and still winter rules. The greens however were perfect. All in all a terrific day! (beats being at work)
Allenmore 4/23/17
Teed off about five minutes early and finished in four hours - pretty good for a Sunday and having to go cart path only. Course was in decent shape considering how wet it's been all winter and spring. A few spots were kind of mushy, especially on the back none, but that is to be expected. Hadn't played here for quite a few years and the new clubhouse and restaurant were a pleasant surprise. Had lunch after the round and the food was terrific
Nice course
Still wet spots area which made it cart path only..
Monday play was good . rescently plugged. greens. putting was a problem.
All in aall was a good day out for the birthday.
Wet and slow - but still fun!
Greens were in good shape.
Stuck behind a slow threesome all round - course marshall shadowed them a bit, but didn't actually say anything until the 15th hole. (Two holes behind pace)
Course was still very wet from all the rain this month, lots of standing water.
Carts on path only, as to be expected for the conditions. The walk through the rough to the fairway was often swampy.
Was good to get out and play, still enjoyed the round despite less than ideal conditions.
Great Value
Allenmore is a great middle of the road course when it comes to difficulty. Fairways are smooth and greens are in great condition. Depending on your competitiveness, the tees you play definitely make a difference. The Urban Elk restaurant up above the pro shop has great food and is a really nice place to relax or eat after a round. I will definitely recommend this course to friends and family.
winter time
golfing 20 yrs allenmore. I golf all the courses but allenmore is at the top of the list.summertime course is great but play is a little slow.winter time some wet spots but greens are well taken of. also brand new golf carts
Course is going to be awesome this summer
The greens were in excellent shape for this time of year. Fairways were muddy and wet in some locations on every hole but hey what do you expect for with all the rain and snow we have been experiencing here in the NW. The 3 of us pretty much had the course to our self's, guess were the only "golfers" that wanted to drudge the rain and wind.
Golf
Even after big storm or freeze the crew always has the course in great shape and smile on thier faces.
over booked
Over booked 5 hrs to play groups of 6 very slow people hit down on us 6 time in one round Marshal did not care club house said so what. Staff very rude. would not play any more.
Nice Facility
I played this course before the Elks Club updated it and it is an excellent facility and very reasonable. My only complaint is that play can be slow mid-morning since a lot of the old timers and play but that's quite ok with me. New carts, excellent cart paths and miraculously maintained. Best kept secret in Tacoma.
Awsome day Sunny but cold
Awesome price 20.00 with cart can't beat it greens were fantastic & fast
Golf
Love the crew. Greens are great even after big storm.
