Allenmore Golf Course
About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Not Accomodating
Requested a handicap flag and they said okay, but I had to stay on cart paths even though a recent leg implant makes it difficult and painful to walk up or down hills. If I hadn't prepaid I wouldn't have teed off. Rude staff.
Good conditions
I enjoyed the course. Conditions were nice. Greens were punched 3 weeks ago and have healed nicely. It's definitely a busy place, but the pace of play was fine. It has some nice views of Mt. Rainer on the back nine, if you catch it on a clear day.
Beautiful old course
played with 3 of my older friends and had a very good time. Pace of play was good and greens, even though recently aerated, were in good shape. Good value
Fall at Allenmore
Disappointed that there were no warnings that the greens had been aeriated. Putting was impossible.
Pretty nice little course
I really enjoyed my round here. It's on the short side, but it's fairly tight so it's not without its challenges. It was in great shape and the greens were rolling smooth as silk. The view of Rainier from the 18th tee is a great way to finish up the round.
Rude staff
course was overbooked no starter people jumped tee times single on 1st tee had group join (2 people made threesome) our t time was before them second hole 2 more joined up 5 people now very slow two groups in front real slow marshal did not care left did not see him again all day. Group behind us hit down on use 5 time one ball missed wife by 6" went to pro shop they did not care did nothing will not play course again do to pro shop rude staff and very slow play (5hrs 30min to get done) Did not finish round left on 18 (was almost hit for last time same group to dangerous to play.
Very slow play
Groups of twosomes out in front of our foursome. Marshall was unresponsive to our request to pair up twosomes to speed up play and drove off in opposite direction from problem groups.
Allendmore - Fun - Very Doable
It was a lot of fun to play. Well kept. Hard to hit OB. Greens are in great condition.
Played with my son on my Birthday
It has been at least 10 years since I have played this course. But remember it was nice and walkable. I met my son here for a central location and it was a hot day. Greens were in great shape but a little on the slow side. Trees are the main challenge otherwise pretty open course. .
Creative shots to Beautiful putting surfaces
Bravo to the elks club and the allenmore staff for creating a fun experience for our group the other day. The course played great on a windy day. Lush greens that rolled true and with many beautiful sight lines and fun shots. Great place to test your game!!
good
enjoyable will play again
good value for price can't think of much else to say
Great Surprise
First time playing course and enjoyed the course. Pace of play was great. Want to play it again
Location, pace
I like playing Allenmore because its 10 mins from home. My overall experience was good, they have newer golf carts which are great too. My only small complaint would be that we played behind a group of 5 which slowed play a bit. Greens were a little slow because of a light layer sand, they should be prefect for this coming weekend! I plan playing here a couple times month.
Good course
Good course, lots of variety. Well kept. Great pace of play.
Tremendous Value.
Friends and I were in town to watch the US Open at Chambers Bay, most courses were booked solid months in advance, we were lucky to get a tee time at Allenmore on a days notice at an amazing rate through GN. Clubhouse was nice, range was short, but perfect for a quick warmup. Good selection of food and Bev in the clubhouse and on the course. Course played Well, not super long but definitely some challenging holes. This was likely the only course in Tacoma that didn't jack their rates up for the US Open. Recommended if you're in the area.
Always Great Bang for Your Buck
Considering other options in Pierce, South Kind, and Thurston County I find Allenmoore to be a really good Value.
Hideen Gem
We had played this course many years ago and it has improved greatly since then. It is a fun course and well maintained.
Good time
The course was in good condition, only issue we had was they sent 2 groups in front of us on the back nine. Other than that it was a good time.
Good value good golf course
