Excellent Course
My first time playing this course beautiful layout staff was amazing overall great turnout.
Great Way to Spend a Holiday
This course is a hidden gem. This is not an area where you would expect a great golf course. The layout is fabulous and overall the conditions were good. You have to keep in mind the amount of play the course gets, this isn't a country club. The staff was friendly, the food and beer prices were fair and it was a great way to spend an afternoon.
Great course but needs some work.
I love this course for it's layout features like the elevated greens and sand traps. Unfortunately the greens are still plagued, in spots, with some sort of black fungas on many ot the greens. Also, the sand traps are hard packed sand making it nearly impossible to play out of them. I would love to give the course condition 5 Stars but, I just can't.
Golf now
Didnt get the price advertised on golfnow. The employee said that the app is giving the rates of a different course.
Standard course with light grass
Pretty standard course. Not very interesting of a layout. Grass was not very full.
Wet
Love the course lay out. Way too wet. Standing water in probably 13-14 greens. Can’t wait to play when it’s dryer
Nice round of winter golf
First outing in the new year. Weather was not much of a factor in the round. It was cart path only however and that put a damper on a couple in my foursome. I liked the condition of the course considering it is February and the amount of rain we got in December and January. Grounds crew renovating the bunker on 14 when we played the hole and noticed again that lot of work on bunkers. Hopefully when it warms up the bunkers will be great to play out of.
Wet but awesome
This course doesn’t get enough praise. Pouring rain but course held up. Love this track. Just super and I think plays longer than advertised. Way to go Spanaway!
Car path
This is an excellent course for the winter season, but the car path really needs to be improved.
Great experience
Lake Spanaway is in good shape this winter and the holiday lights around the course are fun addition. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had a marshall out so pace of play was good. The greens were soft but still fast enough to challenge better players. This is a fun parkland style course. It was an hour drive but well worth it.
