Fun easy course
This is a little, short , hilly course with beautiful views and fun to play. Staff is really friendly. New ownership is continually making improvements.
first time
Had read good reviews so I included a round of golf at Fountain Springs on a trip to see family. Course was nice. Needed some help with the weather as it has made some areas stressed. Greens and most of fairways were good. Greens also hard to read with undulations. Price on golf now makes this a real steal of a deal. If I lived close, I would play regularly. If you are in area, it is worth finding time to play.
Great place
New carts. Greens and fairways in excellent condition considering not a lot of rain this summer although it has rain some lately which I’m sure helped with conditions. Working on sand traps so all weren’t in great condition yet.
Great course
Owner, staff and groundskeepers are friendly and courteous. Course was in very good shape considering the lack of rain and extreme heat.

This course was certainly a hidden treasure and would've been off our radar on our brief Roakoke trip. Located west of Blacksburg along the VA/WV border, this track had the most elevation changes that I've ever played, even at a mountain course. Not really that long so even intermediate golfers can play from the back tees. My novice GF still had a nice time playing and really enjoyed the views. Huge green complexes and probably the best value I've had in greens fees in a while. I intend to play the VA Tech course next time I'm in the area, but would make the extra drive again just to play there again. *only critique would be the bunkers. Very few thankfully, but are definitely not a priority there.
Absolutely love this course!
The owner and his staff take excellent care of this course! I love the layout. Great for all levels!
Beware: Mondays and Thursdays they have a members scramble. The GolfNow tee time is right in the middle of the turn. I’ve never had an issue while on the course, but one gentlemen in the clubhouse really stresses. I personally will not be booking on those days again. Absolutely love the course though and will be returning many more times!
GREAT COURSE
The only drawback was the slow greens. They were a lil fuzzy but in great shape!

This course has a lot of character with challenging holes and elevation changes. Overall good condition with beautiful views and staff was very friendly. Definitely worth the trip.
Bumpy greens
Greens recently aerated and very bumpy to putt on. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
