Charge for a cart
Made reservation through Golfnow. When I went to check in, the guy wanted $28 for cart. I told him it was paid in full through Golfnow. He lowered the cart fee to $20. I will not use Golfnow any more. Hidden fees are wrong!

Excellent value. Diamond in the rough. Surprisingly dry with all the recent rain. Great drainage

This course was awesome
First time playing Browns Lake with my son and it was awesome . It was a challenge with the different slopes and hills you have to take in consideration . The staff was friendly. We had the first tee time and finished in 3.5 hours . My son and I can’t wait to play this course again. He was so excited that he told his brother to get a Shamrock foursome together . Great course to walk and get your steps in!!!!

Browns Lake Golf Course
During COVID-19, the staff had everyone ready for play on their tee sheet while booking online. With all the rain that happened lately, the course was in surprisingly good shape. However, pace of play is NOT enforced and they were letting sometimes 3 carts out per hole without policing the new policies. For the money, it is absolutely a good value. Just beware, it could be a long day and very slow round.

Staff is doing a great job.
Despite all the restrictions the manager still came out to ask about pace of play at the turn. He noticed a group was going a little slow. He made sure it was ok with us which I really appreciate. Not many courses do that!
Post covid Reopen review
Good value for the money. Course in great shape. Would recommend. Good for walking in these weird times. If I lived closer would come back more often.

Aeration
Other courses should learn how to take care of their greens as good as the team does here.
Club House
This was the first time I folded here.... Only downside is I was looking forward to getting a bite to eat after the ninth hole, and was told they shut down the grills. It was only 3:30 in the afternoon and people were on the course. Other than that I enjoyed the course.

Nice course even considered the rainy days, wet conditions, the staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate
Cool Bridge!
Really nice course. Some rough spots on fairways but in overall great condition especially considering the amount of rain the past few weeks. Alot of nice open holes but a few tight ones to keep you honest. Bridge on 3 (I believe) is very neat! Like a mini golden gate spanning the mighty fox river. Great staff, good food, and a very good value. Definitely recommended.
Good Value
Nice course for the money. Friendly staff. Although we didn't walk we saw many walkers. I think this course would be a challenge to walk? Back nine was in better condition than the front. Must have switched 9s as Bushnell Neo was off and it took 2 holes to realize this!
Nice track
Very nice layout and coarse was in good shape. Great value for the money. Staff was very friendly and attentive . Will for sure play it again next year when I'm back in town.
Great value and good course
I was on vacation and got a great hot deal to play here on a weekday. It’s a nice open course And not too difficult but great for the value. The staff was friendly. The concessions were great too and low priced
