Fall golf Wisconsin
Keep it straight no problem, hit iunder trees and you’ll have to hunt in the leaves for the ball, played no penalty for that to speed up play, greens were in surprisingly good shape but played 2 putt maxx rule anyway to challenge for going for greens in 2 and being aggressive in putts. Fun round for WI November golf..
Course is close.
Course is nearly right across the street from my wife and my apartment. Convenient and challenging.
A Little Shaggy
Browns lake is a nice little course. I think with the recent rains, the grounds crew had problems mowing. Fairways greens and tee boxes we're on the shaggy side. slowest greens at played on all year. all in all it's a fun course to play however holes are very close together and you must be aware of errant tee shots and approaches. I've only played this course once before a couple of years ago and the conditions were better then. once again the recent rains are probably to blame.
Very friendly staff
Nice course. Well maintained. Good pace of play. My wife and I followed a couples foursome that played 18 in 3 plus he's. Yahoo. Staff very friendly, both on and off the course. This course is differently a do again. Cheers
Forgiving course
Well. I played my best round of golf that day. Started off the back 9 and shot a 3 over. And shot a 1 over on the front for a 76!!!! Not bad for only being the fourth year golfing
Nice
Good people in the pro shop and we're nice about moving our tee time.
This Course Sneaks up on you !
The course appears simple with some short par fours and few bunkers, but narrow fairways, challenging greens and changes in elevations still make it challenging.
It always seems I should be scoring better, but holes 7 and 16 are my Kryptonite.
The course is undergoing many changes and enhancements and is look better everyday. The changes don't effect play except some older trees have had to be remove so actually sometimes it helps! Looking forward to watching the course continue to improve.
I play on A weekly basis and it's alway fun, and different.
Great place!
Browns Lake is one my favorite places to golf because the course is laid out so well and the staff is always very nice. Plus it’s very professional yet very comfortable to golf there.
Great course
The course is in great shape. The greens are great. Several challenging holes. Great value for the money
Great staff
A two some before us was a little slow and the 1 guy after us was always hitting 2 balls and a few times to close for comfort.
Awesome!
This was my first time playing this course and it will not be my last. I enjoyed everything about it, the course to the excellent customer service. I loved the layout of the course. Some long par 3's and back to back par 5's were nice. Great job Brown's Lake, can't wait to play it again.
Good course
Had a lot of long holes. Not good for beginners, but those who have long drives you will enjoy this course
Great shorter course some holes are close to returning fairways.
I have played this course before but they have lost a lot of the ash trees that separated the fairways.. The stump holes have been filled and seeded. The missing trees have opened the course up.
It's a great afternoon play I had a good time.
Browns Lake April 2018
With the weather finally turning nice it was a lot of fun getting on Browns Lake. I like the way the course has both challenging short and long holes. I have no complaints about the course other than the greens have not matured, but that is to be expected with all the cold weather we've had in WI. The staff are very customer focused and I found the pace of play was good...took just under 4 hours to complete 18.
Aerated greens
Greens were recently aerated. We didn't know. Would have been a deal breaker with one of our foursome but the rest of know that can happen in fall golf and we got a really cheap rate. Windy and some very hard ground in some spots gave big drives but landing approach short of greens sometimes gave huge bounces that carried over the green.
This cours is bad.
Cours was to bumpy, hard surface, no beverage cart on cours, no drinking water stations around the cours and outher golfers around no respect for the game and golf cours.
