no time for football
with sun and 80 degree temps, you won't find me watching the Pack.
great time to golf, have the course to your self and $20.00 for a round as long as you brought a child's toy for donation. Nice course for a county course. could use some renovations to keep up with the other local courses. all in all, it's a fun course for a good price.
Beautiful Course
We enjoyed this course very much. The bridge over the Fox River is a must see!
Brown's Lake
The coarse was in very nice shape, the greens were in great shape, on the fast side and rolled very true. The only thing I could see that needed improvement was some of the holes info signs were either broken or missing and needed to be replaced. Otherwise the course was in real nice shape and for the price we payed it was fantastic. May play again before the season is over.
Poor conditions
The fairways were in terrible shape. I also did not like the layout of the course. Some tee boxes were right on top of eachother. Very poor design.
Disappointed
I've played Brown's Lake a couple times before and have never seen the course in as poor of condition as it was yesterday. The fairways did not have a lot of grass on them and a lot of the grass was not cut to the same level.
Brown s Lake GC
Nice course, good conditions, friendly staff. It could really stand a legitimate exec set of tees , measuring around 6000 yards. Current Men's tees 6400, women's 5500.
Great conditions
the course is in the best condition it has been in long time. With Golfnow the price was also very good.
disappointed
The pro shop bathrooms were dirty as well as the bathroom on course.
The signage indicating hole number and details were missing or broken on numerous holes and it appeared that the tee box area hadn't been cleaned in a while.
When we came around on the turn my husband wanted to grab a hot dog but there not any on the grill and to ensure that we kept up we could not wait.
The greens were in rough shape
Great Course- great value
Friendly staff, good snack bar. Course in great shape. Smooth sloped greens. Multiple tees to challenge all golf levels. Course usually not busy. . Beautiful layout especially the holes that cross or follow the Fox River.
Good for the money
Nice course that brings challenges but isn't to difficult. All of the hazards are easily avoidable, this is my third time at this course and I usually only loose a ball or two.
The course is OK
I think this course should have been about $20-$25 on GolfNow. I will not play this course again for $43. We did not have any issues with the course but believe it is over priced compared to the prices we have paid for other courses.
A good bargain
Course was in better shape than I thought it would be. A great bargain. Sunday afternoon play fairly quickly. Would go back again.
good course for the money
course was in great condition, some of the greens were above challenging.
Pin placements were awful
I was disappointed that two singles were sent out after us. We were a foursome.
Had to let play through and would have had to let a double play through if they had not quit at 9.
Some pins were in spots that after we putted we had a longer putt coming back.
Greens rolled fair, but had plenty of brown spots.
Has a driving range feel
If you like playing back and forth and yelling "FOUR" or hearing it then this is the place for you. As told by others there are holes that require hard hats. Tight fairways playing next to each other do not work. They just need to bulldoze the course under and start over. Most of the spring four holes will be under water from the river yet you'll pay the same to play. It's like a backyard with flags on postage stamp greens. The part of the course is in the bar...the burgers are great.
Terrific despite early season weather.
Superb for this time of year, with earlier season weather history. Fast greens, but by no means unfair. My H.S. home course, & better now than it's ever been.
Golf now incentives make this course an attractive bargain.
This course was in much better condition than when I played there a year ago. One must approach this course with the knowledge that it is a county course. Some of the tee boxes could be equipped with a sledge hammer for tee insertion. Sand traps were minimal at best. Greens were actually in better condition than I had remembered. Still some greens are rather poorly designed and provide quite a "gimmicky" feel. They remind me of some of the greens at Brown Deer before they renovated in anticipation of the PGA coming there. However, with a golf now hot deal it does provide for an enjoyable round of golf.
Browns lake golf course
This course is great and the pace of play is above average. Good job.
Great local course
This is a great local course with friendly staff. Cart girl kept in touch throughout 18, we even started early. The only funny thing is that they sometimes start folks on #10, then switch them to play # 1-9 afterward in an attempt to manage crowding. Other than that it was a delight and we will definitely go back.
Not what I had hoped for
Got a great deal deal through GolfNow. Had I paid regular price for this course, I would be extremely irritated.
The tee boxes were average at best. The fairway's were in good shape with well maintained rough areas. The greens were below average condition. Very uneven and lots of damage from neglectful golfers.
There was a group outing on the course ahead of us that was very disrespectful. They were driving across fairway's and had no regard for anyone else.
My tee time was reserved for 2:45 and did not tee off till after 3:15.
