Best Public course in the area
Moccasin Run will forever be the most well kept and consistent course in the area. It will always be cut and well maintained. Never a bad experience there. Doesn’t hurt that the location is quiet and peaceful. 10/10 recommend.
Garbage experience
It’s not a safe course to play at all with every fairway being adjacent to 2 more and people spraying balls at you the whole time. And then we heard thunder regularly for a few holes and instead of giving me a refund after 9, they said I wouldn’t get one because they’re not closing the course. My phone literally said thunder was coming and we could hear it. But I can’t get a refund because they’re want me to go out and get hit by lightning? Biggest waste of money I’ve had in a while. Would not return
Great course
My expectations for Moccasin Run were surpassed as this beautiful course took my breath away. I had a quick and speedy check in. All of the carts, tee boxes, greens and fairways were maintained to give a professional look and they sure did. I will certainly be back.
Love this course
I live in Delaware, but truly have no problem making the drive to play here. Absolutely one of my favorite courses in the area.
Great place
Such a great time here. Employees were super friendly and helpful. Got paired with 2 golfers who were great. Course looked amazing and was well taken care of. Will definitely be back!!!
Beautiful scenery!
Every inch of fairways & rough is green. Very little trees. Not many sand traps. Elevation holes! Photographic!
Every inch of car paths smooth blacktop. Love coming here. Variety of holes to play. Greens need a little more work but, it is early in the season. Fairways perfect.
Immaculate!
The entire course is green. The fairways are in excellent shape. The rough is green and playable. Very little trees. Just a few sand traps. Layout is beautiful. Elevation, 90° doglegs. Some holes hitting over water. The only thing this year I noticed the greens that were in perfect co edition last year need some work. The grass is different shades of green. I m not an experienced groundskeeper but the putting is a little bouncy. I m sure they will fix that in ti.me.
Aeration and top dressed
GolfNow did not have any information that the course was under rehab. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. The greens were not, large holes punched and sand everywhere. It was impossible to really putt. Our fault for not checking moccasin runs website as they do advertise that they are aerated and top dress for the winter, but wish GolfNow would have the same information.
If you would read the courses website, it literally states the rain policy. Just because "you hear thunder" doesn't mean anything. There was no lightning in the vicinity on Friday & there wasn't one drop of rain.
