Glacier Wood Golf Club

About
Glacier Wood Golf Club has a unique landscape that was carved by ice and earth. The scenic course sprawls across diverse terrain that combines open, grassy meadows, with mature forests and marshland. Sweeping elevation changes and glacial rocks that frame the course provide stunning views from tee to green. The more open holes have a spacious feel while the wooded ones are invitingly secluded. Golfers will have numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with as well as many water hazards. The par-3 12th hole is the course's signature. This stunning hole incorporates dramatic elevation changes, forest, and wetlands for a challenge that you won't soon forget. The 15th is another hole that is as equally memorable, a u-shaped par 5 that is a double dogleg with a steeply sloped green.

First time here, loved the course.
The Course was in great shape, Parker in the pro shop was helpful and friendly. I loved that you had 18 holes, easy to book a tee time too. What a gem in a small community, I will definitely be back!
Poor golfers, use course as a playground.
From the first hole when a group of 3 jumped up to upper tees and teed off in front of me to 2 playground, had no business golfing as one was on the phone each hole ( 6 in total) the whole time. Rude!
To A 4 some who would not let me play through and purposely took their time on the green, to a family who allowed a 4 year old swing the club at the ball more than 25 times before putting him back in the cart.
I thought the fairways were adequate but messy.
The greens were very chopped up, i think the 4 some created that cause they seemed to be playing some putting game when on the gree.
All in all probably worse experience on a golf course in 40 years.
Always Good Shape
Pace of play = 4 for the kids in carts that slowed everyone down on the front 9…addressed with staff and they rectified immediately and pace was perfect on the back. We were 2 walkers if that tells you something. Course conditions were great as usual.
One of my favorites
I've been golfing at Glacier Wood for about 8 years and I love it every time. The course is well laid out and maintained. It is very picturesque and we always get visited by wildlife. If you want a challenging round in a quiet environment, take the drive from the valley. It's well worth the trip.
Rainy Sunday
Decided to play 9 in the rain as a solo. No one on the course and other than a few wet bunkers the course was draining well and was a joy to play. Kitchen at the clubhouse shutdown before 6 but that’s okay.
Glacier Woods
Wow, what a hidden gem in the middle of Wisconsin. The course is outside of Stevens Point, but it's well worth the drive,
Fairways and greens were both in great shape along with having a great staff.
Definitely coming back.
