Good time fairways were wide, the greens were a challenge fast an lots of brake

The course has some really good holes and some really bad ones. Thus, my "Average" rating for the course layout.

There are some MAJOR maintenance issues here. Several greens have severe mold problems due to being low lying or receiving too much shade. Unless remedied, this will ultimately have a major impact on course conditions. Many trees need to be removed to improve air flow and get sun in some constantly shaded areas - especially the 4th and 5th greens which have MUCH black mold.

The course is in decent shape now but that will change with summer's heat and humidity. We played here in the past. I have seen it worse but that was later in the year. Greens are slow. Numerous bunkers are now grass bunkers - no doubt meant to reduce maintenance. However, the grass bunkers are not well maintained.

This course needs some major renovation work to be in "good condition". When asked if I would recommend this course to a friend, I said "Yes" only because there was not an option to say "Yes, but with caveats".

This course was recommended by a friend, but we found it to be disappointing. It was physically very pretty, but the tees and greens were not in good shape, there were a lot of slopes and blind shots and it wasn't an enjoyable experience. A lot more maintenance needed. Pace of play was good.

Except for the greens or the grass services were too long

Played the day prior to Memorial Day and the course seemed to be unkempt. It did rain the day prior so we were expecting wet conditions but the length of the grass on the tee boxes and especially the rough was very high. The greens had a fair amount of ball marks even though we were one of the first groups off that morning.

I have played this course in the past and wasn’t disappointed but unfortunately this time was different.

The course collects lots of water so fairways could be soggy . It was car path only so that takes away from the pace of play. Sand traps were not maintained. Course is not manicured and the rough eats balls. There is lots of blind shots so it is difficult to find balls especially if you have not played the course recently or ever. Greens were inconsistent. I played this course when it was a private course and it was much more enjoyable. Still, it is a great value and a good test of golf. The clubhouse and pro shop are virtual so everything happens on line or at the window. No big deal if you are prepared. I would play again .

The conditions have deteriorated and the greens were like putting on velcro. Plus, the back nine holes are just way too hard.

Struggle to understand the negative reviews for this course. We have been playing it for nearly 10 years and yes it has changed to be a bit more playable for the average golfer. But this course is always in excellent condition. And for all the changes (specifically 10, 16) is still a really tough challenge. Greens were running a bit slow this day but only for the wet conditions. For the 15+ times we have played this course I don't believe we have ever paid more than $50. For that price point this course is an absolute steal.

Beautiful settting, pretty quiet day so got around quickly without a hassle. Not sure if just poor timing when I played or if it’s consistent but tee boxes fairway and greens were all very long. Did I mention the greens were LONG and SLOW? If the grass was better maintained this course would go from ok to great

This is the 2nd time I’ve played here. I was put into a foursome with another single and a twosome. The staff is great here. They are a pleasure to deal with. They have a range and you’re hitting off grass, not mats. Sunday morning at 10:06 and we got the round in just under 4 1/2 hours. There are some tough holes out there and a few easy ones. All in all it’s got just about everything you’d want in a public course. A couple of the greens and tee boxes need some work, but that could be because it’s only May 1st. I’d love to see how it looks in a month. Nice track though. This course is now in my rotation.

It had been a few years since I payed here because of the deteriorating conditions. After seeing some positive reviews, I figured I’d give it another shot, but it’s still far from what it used to be. A lot of the tee boxes weren’t mowed. The greens still have a ton of unrepaired ball marks and are SUPER slow and inconsistent. The pin placements on this day were also borderline ridiculous (on severe hills or downslopes). The course is also abandoning its bunkers. I’d say about 1/4 of the traps originally designed have now been vegetated over, especially around the greens which makes chipping from there near impossible now. As much as I love the layout, I don’t not expect to be back until significant improvement is done.

I used to love playing here - but I’ve never seen the greens in worse shape. Hoping they fix them as I would like to come back one day. For now I am going to hold off though with so many other courses in the area…..
