About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Water drainage
The course is having serious problems with water drainage! Hole 10 is so wet even when the ball is near the green. Hole 13, in the area leading to the green now, is so wet that the maintenance team could not mow and become a hazard. Most of the grass bunkers( a feature of Gil Hanse design) are now filled with water and behind a water hazard by default!
Nevertheless, the Green and fairways are in excellent condition in summer as compared to many other golf courses nearby during hot summer!
Value for money
This is a great course with a great layout. Maybe not the ideal course for those with a shorter game as there are a number of decent carries required.
Course conditions are generally good but drainage of bunkers is a constant problem. I doubt this will ever be fixed due to the underlying soil conditions mixed with the storm rainfall. This course is good value for money and always recommended

needs to get it together
I play Inniscrone a few times a year and today's course conditions are well below its normal standards. The greens have an incredible amount of ball marks and I played at 8am. The course seemed like it was over watered and was so marshy and it had not rained in a few days. The overall maintenance has suffered and its a shame because this is a great course. Hope when it cools off that the greens and course will bounce back

Course is in worse condition every year
Burned out greens, shaggy tees, green water pooled in bunkers. Its really a shame.

Inniscrone Review
Overall, the course is in very good shape. Fairways are in excellent condition. Greens were also in excellent shape. Traps need work. Some are not playable at all - others have minimal sand.
Staff members that we engaged with were very friendly and made you feel welcomed to the course. Have not played here in a few years but will start routinely coming back to play a few times per month.
Hopefully they will begin to correct the trap conditions.

My favorite course.
I drove 45 minutes to get to this course all the time but it it’s worth it. . Friendly staff , they acknowledged you by names. Very accommodating.. This is my to go Golf Course.

great views on he course, holes location are great
2nd time at this course, have a good round , pace of play was great and course condition were pretty good, Only complaint the singge on the course not very good at many holes, especially with so many tee boxes at different locations. generally great round and great course.

Inniscrone review
very nice, very challenging course. This course really penalizes if you go in the thick rough. The front nin is tough but the back nine is much tougher This course is not for beginners.

Challenging Tee to Green. Putting Ridiculously Difficult, even for the best.
Love the course layout and the challenge it provides. Greens don’t roll true. Lumpy and awkward. Tricky and in most cases beyond ridiculous.

Very disappointed in the conditions of the greens
This is an awesome course! But this time around I was sadly disappointed in the condition of the greens! The scores always had a problem with people not fixing their ball marks but they were always on the faster side and pretty smooth. They were the exact opposite! Incredibly slow and very bumpy and spotty... I will definitely go back but it won't be for a few weeks at least

Not Recomended!
It seems like the fairways and rough was not cut. The greens were also not cut? I loved this course but will be a while till I return! The sand traps have no sand and asked after my round about the sand in the sand traps I was told by staff good reason to stay out? Well they are part of the course and truly not kept up like the rest of the course. save your Money!

Sad
The course needs a lot of help bunkers are shot tea boxes not load the best part of the course was 11 to 18 it was a true Golf Course on those holes will not be returning very disappointed

Not Ready For Prime Time
This is a wonderful Gil Hanse designed course. Unfortunately, it was not in good shape today. Although the fairways were fine, the greens, tee boxes and especially the bunkers were not up to par. Tee boxes were bare in many spots, the greens were long and bumpy, and the bunkers were a total disaster. The first bunker I was in had half a rake, the next one had none. None of the bunkers had seen a power raker, they were unplayable. Hopefully the course will receive the TLC it deserves.
