Pleasant round for this time of the year.
Tee boxes, fairways and areas around the greens are all aerated and re-seeded-management is spending alot of time and money on this course. The cart paths could stand some attention. Nice people. Good value. I would definitely play this course again.
Fast round
Course is in pretty good shape for the end of the years especially with all the rain we have had.
Fast round under 3 1/2 hrs.
long time
It has been a very long time since I last played here. After a couple holes I remembered why...I just don't like the golf course. There are some good holes but not enough of them. The greens looked in good shape but they putted like on Velcro. Fairways and rough thin on grass but that is also the case of other area courses. There was an outing the day we played and we had the last tee time and out around the 6th hole there was the outing, right on our tail. Play moved but it was easily a 4 1/2 hour round. Not really a walking course, especially the back nine.
Gone downhill. Stay away.
I used to play this course all the time around five years ago, and played it for the first time since, and it may be the WORST value in golf.
The tee boxes had more sand and mud than grass. Despite all of the rain we’ve had recently, the fairways were hard and mostly burnt out.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the fourth hole was closed so they could repave the cart path. We were never warned, and still paid full price.
From a layout that doesn’t reward quality shots, terrible conditions, and a slow pace, I can guarantee that I won’t be back.
Fast round
Paired with a course "regular" - had a good time - fast round 3 hrs 10 minutes. Course has some "dead spots" due to all the rain we have had but over all in good shape.
Nice course
The course is in great shape. Tee boxes are very hard so bring lots of tees. Reconstructing 1 tee box so use a forward temporary tee. Staff friendly especially Dana at the turn. The course is tight but fair. Greens run true and were average for speed. I like the layout. I will be back.
Very Poor Pace of Play
The course is always in good shape. For the amount of play, the greens are also in very good condition.
The problem is the overbooking and poor pace of play. This past Saturday was a perfect example.
As we pulled up the first tee (for a 12:10 tee time), there was a crowd (of at least five golf carts deep) waiting to hit. After speaking to the starter, we were told that was a large group of 30 golfers sent off early in the morning. He also told us that the pro shop is now sending groups out as much and as fast as possibly, because apparently they’re not making enough money when they set tee times 10-12 minutes apart. So basically they’re piling in as many golfers into a day as they see fit. A far-too-familiar story with most of the courses in the area.
So because of this, our round took over five hours. We waited forever on every single tee box and every single fairway. There was no ranger in sight to move slower groups along. Guys were hitting multiple tee shots whenever they pleased. Sadly, this is not the first time we’ve witnessed these type of things here. There was even a group of six golfers behind us. Something that I’ve never seen on a golf course.
I understand they’re running a business, and like any other business, you have to make a profit. But management clearly does not have the golfer’s best interest or experience in mind.
Long story short: nice public course but pace of play can be the worst in the area.
Nice track
Bensalem is always in good shape. Pace of play can be slow at times. Greens were rolling great. Faster than I expected.
Fun course with good conditions
Nice fun course with good conditions. One of best locally.
Quality round
Quality round of golf. Greens were perfect and soft after a night of rain and only one hole was extra wet but not bad...
The shape of the course
Bensalem CC is really in good shape. The greens are running true and the fairways are good for the most part. Just don’t hit it in the rough. If you do find it, you can’t get it out. Nice course for the golf now deal I bought
Good Course
Par 70 course which plays a little longer than the length suggests. There are only 2 par 5s.
Have been playing this course often.
Chilly to start, had two in front of me, nobody behind, had a nice quiet day finished the round in just about 3 hours 15 minutes
January round
It had warmed up into the 40's/low50's for a few days, the snow had melted but the ground was very mushy/muddy and was to be expected. Cart path only was expected also - still finished the round in just under 3 1/2 hours playing by myself. A couple of the temporary flag poles were literally frozen into the cups but wasn't a problem.
Some of the best greens I have ever played on in 20+ years of playing. Great layout as well.
