Wildhorse Golf Course

Nice course good layout, needs some water. Greens are fun but need some care.

I enjoy playing there due the value you get for the round as well as the challenging features it presents. You can play after 2pm for $25 yet it is maintained like a $45+ course. Greens roll true and are often fast most of the time.

Fun course. Older but quick carts. Greens run true. Play the tips or at least blue and hit it in the fairway. Punishes wayward drives.

I actually really enjoy playing this course. It has many challenging holes without always using length as a factor.
I was very disappointed with the greens; some were in bad shape and obviously under repair with patches, also slow.
Pace of play is the issue that I have with this course. We had a tee time of 930am and finished the 18th at 250pm. Never once saw a marshall trying to speed pace of play along. (This is a recurring issue here).
Overall a great course layout but in need of some TLC to make it somewhere I would want to return to regularly, and please please do something about pace of play.

The summer hasn't been kind the Wildhorse. The greens are not good...bumby with patches of fungus. The fairways have patchy grass also.

Very well maintained course with a great staff. Friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed my experience and would return. Not an exceptionally long course so very good for the intermediate player. I will return soon!

Nice undulating greens and fairways flanked with a myriad of bunkers. Definitely a fun golf course.

Friendly staff, the course was in overall great shape, and it has some of the more interesting/challenging hole layouts of any course I've recently played. My only complaint would be that many of the greens had a number of unrepaired ball marks and some had evidence of rot/fungus growth. Aside from those issues, they were uniform, fast and had a true roll.

spacious fairways big sloping greens, plenty of risk/reward holes, very fair course with just enough bite to make it fun.

Finally played this course after much talk Ive heard about it. With all due respect, it is not as impressive as most say. Lots of hardpan/dirt throughout course where rough should be. All greens were patched and had lots of unrepaired ball marks. Bunkers had very little sand and were holding water. Course track looks similar to Lockeford and Teal Bend. Not terrible course but needs maintenance. Also be aware some tee boxes and holes are very far apart if you are a walker.

This used to be a great course, challenging and the best one in the Woodland/Davis area. With better management this course could be great again but it really needs some attention. The fairways and greens have huge dead areas. Having lived in this area my whole life I understand that during the summer it can be hard to keep the greens soft but it seemed like they hadn't been watering at all. Even with that the course itself is nice but the staff is rude. Our cart died on the first hole so we called and they brought out one of the old gas powered ones so we wouldn't have to worry about the battery dying again. The problem then was the exhaust was so bad you could see it coming out and the fumes were making my wife feel sick so at the turn we asked for a cart with a charged battery and when I told the man in the pro shop all of this he did not even apologize or anything. He just said "Yeah that's all we have".

With better management I really think this course could be great again but I won't be going back for a while.

This course usually is in great condition but sign in restroom indicates main water pump went down during heat wave and watering is being done in afternoon to catchup. The greens and many of the fairways are wet and appear to have a fungus which makes for poor conditions. Hope they get it back, great course.

Greens were very fast and it was a pleasure trying to manage my shots and putting to adjust to the speed.

Wildhorse has the best collection of interesting holes, usually in great condition, and at a reasonable price, anywhere in Sacramento region. Recent extended heat wave burned the fairways and greens. There are signs they are working to heal things, but it needs more attention. Biggest help could be stepped up efforts to keep the worst-behaved players from driving carts through restricted areas, away from greens, etc. As a regular, I'm seeing more and more cart abuse on par 3's, near greens, in environmental areas, in ground under repair.

Wildhorse is excellent value for terrific track. Let's take care of it.

Course in good shape for mid-summer. Bunkers are awful though, so stay out of the "sand"!

Very good golf course. Only thing I would like to see improved is the sand in the bunkers

Wildhorse was in great condition and the staff was very friendly. They even have a June/July special for $2 replay after 12 pm.

Play this great course and take advantage of this awesome deal.

Super fun and moderately challenging layout. I've always had fun at the course, and even the highest rates are extremely reasonable for the area. Highly recommend.

Just like Sunset Whitney or now Rocklin golf club this course has a problem with over booking. There was 2 groups of 5 infront of us and people jumping holes all over the place. Left after 14 holes when it hit the 4hr 15 mark and it was bottlenecked. Was worth the wait to get stuck in traffic. Should of been done early since we booked 9:22AM. Who ever is running these courses doesn't know what there doing. Will not be going back .
