Wild Wings Golf Club

Looks recently renovated, went on a random late morning and it was pretty clear most of the day so I got thru quick as a solo. Unique course that has 2 pins on each hole, so you can replay the 9 with a different pin set. Nice neighborhood and would recommend getting a cart due to it. Bunkers could use some TLC next.

Came through today, played 9. Greens are in great shape, staff was very friendly. Pace was good, I’ll be back for sure!!!

I was terribly disappointment with the poor customer service provided at this course. I was offered to block in a tee time and I accepted. When it came time to play an additional 9 holes which was blocked in, the attendant said she was sorry but our tee time was given to someone else. She offered to give us a tee time 2.5 hours later with no apology. I will not be going back there for quite some time and they don't care.

Wide open course layout, nicely manicured greens that have challenging pin placements. One set of pins for first 9 vs. second 9. Good value for the price. Good pace of play. Friendly staff. Currently no water on the course - would have been nice to know before starting play.

The course is in great shape except for the bunkers. They lack sand and still have weeds growing in them. Snack bar is nonexistent (they have one but it is never open). If you want anything other than nuts and granola bars from the pro shop, you're out of luck. You will also have to bring in your own alcohol. Great putting/chipping area but no driving range. They do have nets to hit into but your better off not using them.

The new ownership has done a great job bring this course back to life.

This is a somewhat challenging course due to the firm, fast, small, undulating greens. Also, lack of trees makes this course very susceptible to the wind. It was windy that day, adding at least two extra strokes to your round. Condition of greens and fairways were excellent. Generous wide fairways, but approach shots to the green can be difficult.

This course is making gradual improvements lately. The fairways should be dormant this time of year but I hardly had a lie that was bad (w/ Winter Rules). I was able to play it down most of the time though anyway. Wonderful! Bunkers are coming along as well as more of a better defined rough. The greens are cut tight & roll true, & fast too. The proshop team is fantastic & especially Jessie. He's stuck it out & kidos to him personnally. They've had greenskeeping assistance from the Yolo Flyers CC and thanks to them as well. I fully believe Wild Wings will eventaully be back to 5 Stars sooner than later. Just note a lot of small groups, especially w/ carts, so if you're walking, heads up (my 4 stars instead of 5) because you may get kind of pushed. So while playing, I teamed up w/ a couple folks on my 1st nine (flagged them up & waited), then another single the 2nd nine the same. They were all very nice folks. Allowing me to read the greens & take the time I'm allowed per shot. That makes a significant difference in playability mood. Love this place & look forward to playing again.

Fun course to play. Wide fairways and nice greens. Staff are great and always greet you with a smile.

This course has a lot of history. Going through a lot of staff changes and levels of condition.

Now the staff are amazing. Jesse in the front desk is friendly, accommodating, and just a really great dude.

The condition has improved dramatically over the last 1-2 years. The layout is really cool. For the money it’s a great course. It’s 9 holes, with 2 flags per hole so you play the same 9 twice. They always do a good job with flag placement to make it feel like a new experience the second time around.

No restaurant or great food options. Just snacks and stuff so keep that in mind.

Wild wings is a great place to host outing too. Low key, community feel.

Come out and try it. You will be pleasantly surprised

Staff is super friendly, and the course was in great shape. Super simple and easy 9-hole, but long enough to use all your clubs

This course is fun to play, and you can challenge yourself to play better on the second time around to a different pin position.

Excellent and conscientious management of the course by the staff is evident everywhere. Pace of the play cannot ask for more. Even the players seem to be more concerned about other players and the pace unlike some other courses in Rocklin or Sacramento area. The only concern is the dust blowing in from nearby farms and orchards. Just avoid late afternoon.

Also, as I mentioned before, there is enough land space in the area so if the HOA extends it to 66 hole course it might be a lot better business wise.

Played with my wife. Nice open course. Greens were in great shape. Course was a bit dry in spots. 102 degrees the day we played. They had cooler stations on several holes but they were empty, no cooler or water. Kind of a big deal that there was no water in the cooler stations and no water fountain at the clubhouse in the Summer. Other than that, we had a fun day.

Bunkers are in way better shape then before they use to be unplayable now they have a few that are playable

The attendant was very friendly and kept things going smoothly. Although I rented a cart, the course is very walkable.

The course conditions have improved 100%. It is very apparent much effort is being made to get this course in back in shape over a year ago when I last played.... Tees, fairways and greens are on par with any course in the area.
