Wildhorse Golf Course

Just like Sunset Whitney or now Rocklin golf club this course has a problem with over booking. There was 2 groups of 5 infront of us and people jumping holes all over the place. Left after 14 holes when it hit the 4hr 15 mark and it was bottlenecked. Was worth the wait to get stuck in traffic. Should of been done early since we booked 9:22AM. Who ever is running these courses doesn't know what there doing. Will not be going back .

Pace of play was extremely slow (5.5 hours). It was fathers day, so it was to be expected with a lot of non-regular golfers out for the day. Overall though I had a great day with my daughters!

If you are looking for a course that we challenging, then you have to play this course. You got up lie, down lie, and side lie, but the putting green is difficult.

Can't believe the lazy golfers that play this course and don't fix their ball marks.

First of all, your going to have a great day if you are the first group on the tee box with no one behind you...all....day...long. We booked the 7:14 tee time through Golf Now, and made the 30 minute drive from Sacramento. Well worth the effort. The staff was friendly, even just waking up like us. The course was in great shape, lush and green. The greens were moderate speed, clean, and were simply solid. We'd seen some rain the last few days, which toughened up the sand traps. This course is fun if your staying in bounds and able to make the carries. Beware the 17th.

Decent layout. Nice putting/chipping practice area. Driving range is substandard. Traps are not groomed. Way too many "enviromentally sensitive areas".

Had a great time! The course was in excellent condition for the time of year. Bar staff was more interested in baseball than helping customers.

Overall course is in good shape, punching soon. Friendly staff and a great practice green near 18th green

Very nice challenging course. It allows for long hitters to be able to pull out the driver from time to time yet times for them to keep the driver in the bag and focus on shot making.

Challenging course but fair ..... unfriendly pro shop staff

This was my first outing to Wildhorse. The greens are fast, they appeared to get heavy use, and all had a lot of unrepaired ball marks. The bunkers needed sand. Fairways were in good shape. The course is fairly challenging and requires some club selection thought off several of the 4 & 5 tees. The staff was okay. Overall, I would give it an average rating.

Make sure there isn't a tourney that went out just before your tee time. Call them and they will tell you...if there is one, PASS...the course is a nice links style, but an odd lay out and short holes cause a back-up in some places. Bring your patience if that's the case as the course will be super slow. Mostly wide fairways give the hacker a chance, but you long ball hitters -- you can hit the green on several holes and that makes it worth your time. Hit it straight and you are rewarded, if you miss...look out for the trees and rough.

Course was in great shape even after the rain. Fairways and greens were in good condition. Have not played in a few years but plan to return more this year.

Each hole is diferant and has it own challenges. I enjoy playing.
The food service is good at a resonable price.

Course was designed with sloped tees. Way too challenging for me. Got 110 on the game. Hope to improve next time and hopfully quicker pace. All in all great deal! s en

An excellent winter course. The water drainage on this course is very good. After a week of rain I did not see any standing water. A moderately challenging course.

Always dry when all others are wet, course of choice for this area.

Good mix of fun and challenge. Bring your sandles and sunscreen. Quite a bit of sand.

Pretty well maintained course that really only shows its teeth when the wind is present.

Very chanllenging course , value for your money , will play there again !
