About
Originally opened in 1929 as the Waterford Woods Golf Course, the club reemerged in 2008 as the Rivermoor Golf Club. Along with its new name, the club also revealed improvements to the playability and condition of the 18-hole course. The design of the golf course was largely determined by the scenic topography, which is covered with mature trees and dotted with ponds. There are also a few streams that meander across the landscape. Rivermoor Golf Club is a proud member of the Audubon Sanctuary System. Beyond providing a secluded setting and great scenery, the terrain also makes for a challenging round. The trees frame most of the holes and water hazards come into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Great Time. Fine Staff.
Had a wonderful day golfing at Rivermoor. The crew was busy managing the tsunami of leaves while the bar staff was cheerful and efficient!

Gusty but Great day at Rivermoor!
My wife and I had a fun time at Rivermoor this week. The leaves were managed well above expectations to help make the round relaxing (rather than a ball searchfest) on a comfortable Fall afternoon.

Frustratingly poor etiquette
We played the course on a beautiful fall morning.
Unfortunately for our group we set out behind a senior five some. The pace of play was brutal. Really took the enjoyment out of the day. We thought the course was nice and the staff to be very friendly.
In our wait at the 14th tee box we noted that every hole was unoccupied through the 18th. The entire course was backed up behind this inconsiderate group.

Nice local course but not worth a 90 minute trip
Coming from western suburbs of Chicago I thought playing out in “the country” in Wisconsin would be fun and it was ok and just that. First off it would be nice to include in the description and amenities of the course that there’s NO driving range.
There are as advertised, nature trees and some water but the overall design is more local park district than a destination golf course. And that’s on me. No one said it was but the description said holes that are beautiful and beauty is in the eye blah blah, they weren’t in my estimation “beautiful “.
The greens were pretty basic - most flat- not a lot of contours and relatively small. The tee boxes were spotty and hard. The bent grass was, again, ok.
If you’re in the area then you already play it. If you’re traveling there keep expectations very reasonable.
Fun Course
Course has a fun layout with a lot of mature trees. Some tee boxes were a bit chewed up but overall the course was in good shape
Great value for a pristine course. Well Kept.
Definitely a good place to play. lots of trees to test your game. Well worth the money.
