About
Originally opened in 1929 as the Waterford Woods Golf Course, the club reemerged in 2008 as the Rivermoor Golf Club. Along with its new name, the club also revealed improvements to the playability and condition of the 18-hole course. The design of the golf course was largely determined by the scenic topography, which is covered with mature trees and dotted with ponds. There are also a few streams that meander across the landscape. Rivermoor Golf Club is a proud member of the Audubon Sanctuary System. Beyond providing a secluded setting and great scenery, the terrain also makes for a challenging round. The trees frame most of the holes and water hazards come into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Lovely Property
We are beginners, but felt the course was great for us, though the greens were a bit dry and very fast!
Perfect golf day
Staff was great, course was beautiful, and the bar and grill were amazing. Highly recommend
Slow play
No one is a professional but keep moving. Pace of play was horrible
Rainy Day Round
Unfortunately it was raining from start to finish when I played here. I had the course to myself so I cannot comment on pace of play.
Cons:
Range is for members only. This was a huge disappointment and I felt it threw off my round by not allowing me to warm up properly.
Pros:
Interesting layout with some well maintained grounds given the conditions. Challenging par 3’s, a few gettable par 4’s, and some interesting variety in required shot placement off the tee. Good looking park style course, friendly staff, and I didn’t feel like all of the holes were right on top of each other.
Overall I’d recommend this course and I will be back to play it again when it isn’t raining, but I’ll just have to find a different way to warm up without access to a range.
Great golfing experience!
Really great experience for this new golfer. Kudos to staff - very accommodating and friendly. Great value and feel for this newbie who needs an atmosphere that supports fun and friendliness as I get started. This was the first time out on an number of courses that I actually played. My fiancée and I paired up with another couple and we had a great time, didn’t feel rushed at all, which made a Great difference for me. The course was a challenge for the more and less experienced golfers in our crew. Food was great - loved turning the corner to a yummy hot dog fresh off the grill! Nicely done! We will be back…
