Originally opened in 1929 as the Waterford Woods Golf Course, the club reemerged in 2008 as the Rivermoor Golf Club. Along with its new name, the club also revealed improvements to the playability and condition of the 18-hole course. The design of the golf course was largely determined by the scenic topography, which is covered with mature trees and dotted with ponds. There are also a few streams that meander across the landscape. Rivermoor Golf Club is a proud member of the Audubon Sanctuary System. Beyond providing a secluded setting and great scenery, the terrain also makes for a challenging round. The trees frame most of the holes and water hazards come into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Fine day

The course was in great condition again. I played it last year and I plan on coming back next year. Great value for a great course.

The drought seems to have hit Rivermoor a bit harder than other courses. Tough to get a tee into the ground. Fairways lacking water as well. Still one of my favorites though. Good pace, friendly staff as usual.

Don’t rely on Golf Now for tee times.

I received an email confirming my reservation and payment due at Rivermoor golf course on 7/14. However, when arriving at the course, their records showed I had a reservation but not not the correct number of players nor the right amount. Once I got there, they gave me the same tee time, but gave me a senior rate, which was $10 less. Golf Now needs to communicate better with the courses.

Thoroughly Enjoyable

The course was in great shape, and our threesome played in just over 3'15", despite the 2 i joined up with being high handicappers and sharing one set of clubs. Great pace, and as a Hot Deal, great value.

Overbooked, rude clubhouse guy

The course is ok, pace of play is not. Also hole 16 green was closed without telling us. Clubhouse guy was comically rude. You know the type, the “tough” guy that wants you to know how “tough” he is by being a pain in the you know what to strangers who are just trying to check in for a round. Also wasn’t wearing a mask. Bad staff=no return, I suggest spending your hard earned money at one of the nicer, friendlier courses in the area.
