About
Originally opened in 1929 as the Waterford Woods Golf Course, the club reemerged in 2008 as the Rivermoor Golf Club. Along with its new name, the club also revealed improvements to the playability and condition of the 18-hole course. The design of the golf course was largely determined by the scenic topography, which is covered with mature trees and dotted with ponds. There are also a few streams that meander across the landscape. Rivermoor Golf Club is a proud member of the Audubon Sanctuary System. Beyond providing a secluded setting and great scenery, the terrain also makes for a challenging round. The trees frame most of the holes and water hazards come into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Wet previous week set the tone
Fairways were long tee boxes were not great but it was all from the previous week's rain and their inability to cut. The greens on the other hand were very nice and fairly quick and puttable. Their staff on course and in the clubhouse were helpful, friendly and attentive. Had a great burger in the bar. Watched the bucks earn a 2-1 lead in the second round of the playoffs.
Great gem of a course
Course is in fantastic shape and the staff from the pro shop, to the beverage cart girl Kylee, very attentive, professional, and very accommodating. Will play on the regular.
Not bad considering the rain
We played this course the day after we had about an inch of rain. Although the ground was very wet, there was no standing water. The greens were decent given the time of the year. There are numerous bare spots on the edges of the fairways that should be addressed. but overall it was an enjoyable day.
The drought seems to have hit Rivermoor a bit harder than other courses. Tough to get a tee into the ground. Fairways lacking water as well. Still one of my favorites though. Good pace, friendly staff as usual.
Don’t rely on Golf Now for tee times.
I received an email confirming my reservation and payment due at Rivermoor golf course on 7/14. However, when arriving at the course, their records showed I had a reservation but not not the correct number of players nor the right amount. Once I got there, they gave me the same tee time, but gave me a senior rate, which was $10 less. Golf Now needs to communicate better with the courses.
Bad
Bad all around, most of all not a playable golf course
Thoroughly Enjoyable
The course was in great shape, and our threesome played in just over 3'15", despite the 2 i joined up with being high handicappers and sharing one set of clubs. Great pace, and as a Hot Deal, great value.
