Rivermoor Golf Club

About
Originally opened in 1929 as the Waterford Woods Golf Course, the club reemerged in 2008 as the Rivermoor Golf Club. Along with its new name, the club also revealed improvements to the playability and condition of the 18-hole course. The design of the golf course was largely determined by the scenic topography, which is covered with mature trees and dotted with ponds. There are also a few streams that meander across the landscape. Rivermoor Golf Club is a proud member of the Audubon Sanctuary System. Beyond providing a secluded setting and great scenery, the terrain also makes for a challenging round. The trees frame most of the holes and water hazards come into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Great Time at Rivermoor!
From the time of Alec's welcoming greeting in the Pro Shop until the final putt and bar beer, our day at Rivermoor GC was a treat!
IMO
A Hwy 83 Hidden Gem for most player levels.
Slow/ drunk golfers in front of us
We started out just fine, we had a twosome in front of us who waited way too long to hit their shots. We caught them on every whole. There was no ranger out on the course to move people on. We found out that the twosome in front of us was waiting for a twosome in front of them on every hole, and one of the players was drunk…stumbling around the course, could barely get into and out of his cart.
The drunk twosome eventually let the twosome that were in front of us, play through. Which means now we were behind the drunk twosome. Did I mention there was no ranger on the counter. We tried to avoid any contact with them, but on one hole we found he had dropped his cell phone. We returned it to them and said we are playing ahead. The rest of the holes we played went smoothly after that. Not a ranger in sight!
Course is in terrible condition. Tee boxes so hard you could hardly get a tee in the ground. Pace of play was horrible. There were times there were 3/4 groups on the same hole. Waiting on every single shot is no way to play golf. Will never again play Rivermoor
Course has lots of mature trees on every hole with a few creeks.
The course was enlightening to play on due to the scenery and the amount of difficulty. I had a wonderful time and the regulars treated me like I was part of their group. Price for 18 holes and a cart was very inexpensive, $26 through GOLFNOW, and couldn't pass that up. Thanks Rivermoor Golf
Rivermoor Golf
Have played it before and enjoyed it. This time the course was very dry, even some bare spots on the fairways, and the greens were rock hard and would not hold a shot to the green. Players have been thoughtless and too many ball marks were leftt unrepaired. I did not see one groundskeeper on course during my round…
Love the Rivermoor GC
Always have a nice time playing at Rivermoor! Course layout is fair but challengingly narrow with many tree lined corridors.
Book your round before the snow flies!
Good time!
Course was having some repairs. Carts were great, clean and functional. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great value course
Course is in great shape, other than a few greens are a bit beat up. Good food, and friendly staff.
