Rivermoor Golf Club

About
Originally opened in 1929 as the Waterford Woods Golf Course, the club reemerged in 2008 as the Rivermoor Golf Club. Along with its new name, the club also revealed improvements to the playability and condition of the 18-hole course. The design of the golf course was largely determined by the scenic topography, which is covered with mature trees and dotted with ponds. There are also a few streams that meander across the landscape. Rivermoor Golf Club is a proud member of the Audubon Sanctuary System. Beyond providing a secluded setting and great scenery, the terrain also makes for a challenging round. The trees frame most of the holes and water hazards come into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Not bad, just overpriced
The staff was friendly, and the food was good. There is no range unless you're a member, the layout is good, but the conditions lacked. Shaggy fairways blended into the rough, ant hills everywhere, severely ballmarked greens, chewed up tee boxes, and a few bunkers that looked like construction sites. With all that said, I would play there again, but not for 50 bucks. The layout was fun, trees lined most holes, challenging par 3s, and small greens that were heavily sloped. It really values good shotmaking. If the rate was closer to 30, I'd recommend it to friends, but I can't at the prices they want.
Though the course is in fair condition the greens are in very poor condition. They were very beat up and dry Tee boxes as well very dry difficult to tee the ball up. Have played this course many times over the years and have never seen the greens this rough Sad
No warming up if you don’t belong to the club
The course was nice but we won’t be returning. We were not allowed to warm up before playing on the driving range. We were told that’s for members only. If all amenities aren’t available I would want to know this upfront. Not warming up really affected all of our play. (Group of 3).
Back to Rivermoor
Returned after being a member in the late 80’s. Course was in good shape. Greens still small and elevated but ran nice. A number of nice holes. Many subpar and newby players don’t help the pace or help the condition of the course because they don’t fix the ball marks on the green or fill fairway divot at the frequency they should. Overall great value and still a nice golf course.
Course was just ok.
Haven’t played here in 8-10 yrs but always liked the layout of this course. Tee boxes and greens were not in good shape as well as most of the sand bunkers. I know it’s been a wet year with mowing difficulties but other than the fairways, the course was in bad shape. The cost was cheap so it was still worth it.
Fun course for the money
Fun course and good pace of play. Need to work on sand traps and purchase more carts, otherwise great for the money.
