Golden Oaks Golf Club

Haven’t played Golden Oaks in a long time. Couldn’t remember the beautiful layout. This course was in terrific shape with all the tee boxes soft and covered in grass. Pace of play was just over 4 hours. Greens were sticking when I hit them. Overall completely satisfied with the course. Definitely will be playing again.

Aeration had clearly been done recently but the greens were healing nicely. I was hoping to be paired with someone but had to play as a single, behind a couple of foursomes. Took my time between shots and still finished in 3 hours and twenty minutes. But the course is so much fun to play even playing like that could not ruin it.

Loved this course and can’t wait to return. Very well maintained. Played a round in 3.5 hours.

Excellent course, only complaint is the greens were aerated and I didn't know that before I arrived. Otherwise the course was in great shape.

Playing Golden Oaks is always a pleasant, yet challenging, adventure. From tee to green the course is usually in great condition and the views are just breathtakingly beautiful. The staff is always courteous and friendly as well. Can't wait to come back!

Shot my best ever round of 77 here first time playing. Course in great shape, undulating layout. Soft accessible greens. Fantastic halfway hut and 19th hole. Pace could’ve been a little better we got done in 4.5 hours. Will definitely come back.

Golden Oaks is a great golf course with country club conditions. Bent grass fairways and greens are something rare in public courses and it is so well maintained. The layout and routing of the holes is terrific.

From the bag drop to the pro shop the staff was very friendly and helpful. Some of us drove over an hour to play here but it is worth it and we’ll do it again.

Played as 3some on a beautiful summer weekday afternoon and the course was great. Everything ( tees, fairways, greens, and traps ) was in in great shape with only a few exceptions. Greens were VERY fast. but true. We finished in 3 1/2 hours. Great value, worth the trip.

Every single hole I had to wait for hitting a ball. At least 5 minutes to wait for our turn to play each hole.

I remembered 11 & 12th hole there were four groups waiting to turn their shot. That was extremely testing my endurance. I don’t know why people have given them more than 4 stars. I’m living near NYC and travel for playing golf at the better course which shows more than 4 stars estimated.

Golf course was average shaping not too good for scenic view or wonderful management of courses. It’s just fair to play. Greens were maintained really well and very fast.

All I can say this golf course would be 3.8 or 3.9 stars enough.

I had driven to this course 2hours and half from City of NY.

I regret to choice this golf course by ratio of stars.

No rangers to control slow players and No impressed scenic view all over the golf courses.

only thing that could be better is to add some sand in some bunkers.......everything was in great condition......weather made for a great day..........have played there a fair amount this year.......the two starters .......Carmen and Keith are very nice and do a great job of keeping control at the start.......fantastic day at the end of June.........

I've played here about a half-dozen times and I'm always impressed with the course. It's simply one of the most beautiful public courses I've ever seen. It's well-maintained, challenging, and a lot of fun.

For the most part, the staff is extremely friendly. I've only ever run into one person who was not, and he was in the pro shop. But 99% of the time EVERYONE there is super friendly and they make it great.

I always recommend this course to other people, even though I don't live very close. It's worth the long drive for me to play at Golden Oaks.
