Golfer Reviews
Golden Course
The course was in great condition. Greens rolled fast and true. Nice and friendly staff.
Great course
Course was great. A bit challenging. Greens were aerated 2 weeks but I knew that when booking my teetime. Fairways were in good conditions as well as most of the ladies tees, albeit some were not level. Not sure if that is the norm for golf courses or all tees but for me it is one of the most important aspects. Would love to come back when the greens come in!
Great Course Overall
Overall this was a great course. I enjoyed the course as it was my first time playing. It definitely had some tough holes, but I did my best and I ended up shooting not too bad of a score for my first time there. It's a far drive from Philly but I've heard great reviews about the course so I came. I got paired up with a couple and they played a tad slow well that's an understatement but you get what you get and you don't get upset. Overall the course is great would definitely recommend coming and playing here again.
Golden Oaks a little tarnished
I gave Golden Oaks a top rating in the past but I have to drop a star today due to sub-optimal conditioning. Every bunker I saw or was in had mud or standing water in the middle; greens showed signs of recent aeration, were soft and a little bumpy with quite a few unfixed ball marks; some tees were in less than ideal shape with lots of unfixed divots.
My Golf to Golden Oaks
The course was in excellent condition and luckily paired me up with 2 other golfers - great golfing and nice to make friends.
This is a great layout!
This was our first time playing this course and we will definitely return! The course was in excellent condition and is a challenging layout with some tight holes where accuracy counts. The pace of play was perfect as we did not have anyone in front or behind us and we moved a good pace. We will be playing here again soon!
a must play
you will not be disappointed with golf course if you have the time to travel you must play this one everything about it was primo
Beautiful fairways
Played this morning. Some of the nicest fairways in the area. Very open. My only issue was with the greens. The were aerated and full of sand. Fast at first and then your ball would die. However great if you duffed a shot deep, it would keep you on the green. Would love to play here again.
Why?
The course is in terrible condition. It does not look like it’s being taken care of at all besides cutting grass.
Every green is a different speed. Most greens had many many dead spots making them virtually unplayable. No putt has a true roll. Some tee boxes were more dirt than grass.
The layout is almost silly so that made it kind of fun, but only the first time playing it. Otherwise it’s not rewarding or really challenging besides the overly narrow fairways.
