Golden Oaks Golf Club
About
Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. is considered one of Berks County's finest courses with a four-star rating from Golf Digest, which also named it as one of the top "Places to Play." It was voted the "Best Public Course" by readers of Berks County Magazine. Designed by local architect Jim Blaukovitch, the golf course has a classic design that appeals to players of all skill levels. The course has wide, inviting fairways but there are also some challenges provided by the rolling terrain, featuring elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Be prepared for a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. Trees line Golden Oaks Golf Club's fairways and strategically placed bunkers protect the greensides. The golf course has some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Always in great shape
I played my GolfNow round the first week of December 2017, and even that late in the season the course was in great shape. Bunkers were raked and free of leaves, greens were cut & rolled running about a 10, and the fairway/rough was cut & blown. The halfway house is closed this time of year, but the restaurant is open 5 days a week (closed Sun/Mon). Green fees were reasonable for the time of year, unfortunately they were so reasonable I couldn't get the round to count for my Rasberry Trail card. I highly recommend this course for play anytime you can make the drive.
leaves everywhere
Tough to find your ball in the rough. Leaves everywhere. Typical Fall golf up North. Couse very lush. Rough should be lower in the Fall so you can find ball. Greens very fast but ran very true. No divot fill on my cart. All holders were empty. Starter had all golfers start off of 10th tee. Not sure why, I would rather have started off of no. 1 This course is the best in Berks county. Rarely play though because of high greens fee and requirement of 2 or more golfers. When Golfnow had a $20 greens fee I jumped on it.
Great Course...but look out for the knats!,
Second time playing this course. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the layout and the fairways and greens were pristine.
However, for some reasons there was a big infestation of knapsack everywhere!
Still you should go play!
Great course
Drove an hour to play the course looking for good greens and they did not disappoint.
Slow pace of play
Pace of play was very slow and the ranger told us everything was fine. We had to skip 3 holes in order to finish in 4 hours 15 minutes. Course is nice but nothing special. Nice views and in good condition. Wide fairways and large greens. Hard to lose a ball. Greens were cut fast and that added a nice challenge. Might try this course again midweek but never again on a weekend.
Some very challenging holes
Overall a course I'll definitely play again.
The staff was especially pleasant. Just a
Great place to play and many scenic views.
Fantastic Course
One of my top 3 favorite courses in this area. Always in impeccable shape with a great layout. If it wasn't a 45 minute drive I would play much more often.
Great course
Course was very forgiving and had a great feel to it.
Good course
This was my first time playing this course. The greens had recently been aerated, which was noted on golf now as well as an adjusted price for the round. Those were both nice to see. The rest of the course was in great condition and a real challenge at times. Some shortish par 5's that can still bite you if you don't hit good drives or approach shots. Overall a good play and I recommend govibg this one try.
Hidden Gem
The course was absolutely well manicured. The course layout was challenging even though I'm a senior playing the forward tees. As soon as the next opportunity comes along I'll be back out.
The staff was superb!
I played there in the past with impressive conditions but this round was quite different. Greens we're too fast. Difficult to hold the ball. Fairways and tee boxes in suboptimal condition.
Golden Oaks
Golden Oaks is a favorite of mine. Excellent large greens that roll pure and not a weed on the course. A picturesque mountain with each hole cut out if the surrounding woods.
Course was in excellent shape
Beautiful golf course. Once again disappointed that snack bar was closed before 4:45 on a Sunday. Many groups still out on the course at 7:30 p.m. Management does not seem to care about their customers at all as last time everything was locked up on a Sunday afternoon and there were no restroom facilities available either. Current management is jeopardizing what would be an awesome golf experience.
Great course
I play pretty much every course near the Lehigh valley. Golden oaks is one of my favorite layouts. On top of that it is in great shape you can't find greens that roll as nice at the moment . Even with the amount of rain we have been getting. So if you live within an hours distance you will not be disappointed in your round.
Beautiful course
doesn't get much better in eastern pa...
course always in great shape. greens roll beautifully. awesome snack bar at the turn.
breathtaking views all through the course.
Interesting Course
The course layout is very interesting Many uphill holes with blind greens. But very good condition and a fun round.
