Course was in pretty good shape.

On the first hole we ha one of the employees yell at us for chipping up onto the tee box.

One of the guys in our group said that the same guy was rude to him the previous week.

Doesn’t look or play like it. First time playing here If it didn’t rain a few days ago, I couldn’t complain about anything even though I played in December. Bunkers were in rough shape but that’s expected and fairways were soggy and greens were slow but was caused by the rain. Long course with gorgeous bunker placements makes you feel like you’re playing a pro course. I’ll definitely be back here

Players need to fix balls marks, but greens in excellent shape. Sand traps with water or muck in center - traps have never been in good shape.

Lots of traps, none pumped out after last weeks rain?

Rough was really long but they were cutting it. Everything else was in great shape.

Always a fun play, but virtually every bunker was empty and decayed. The big bunkers are a key part of the design. It wasn't even easy to get a reasonable rake and roll to play from. Maybe they could be sure to add sand when next season rolls around. It would help a lot.

The traps have sand. A few were flooded so they have a handful that need drainage work. More racks would be helpful too. Great track

We were behind a foursome that was very slow play but over all good golf course it was fun I waiting a long time to play this course well worth it except for the slow play ! I am not a fan of getting paired up with somrr we one else but this time the 2 guys that were paired up with was good guys it was fun

I have played GD several times a year for the last 10+ years. It is a great track, but really needs a drainage overhaul.. the sand traps need to be turned over since they get pack down to the low grade “sand” they use. I played Oakbrook GC early this week and they have the old fashioned, actual sand.

The dry weather has really taken a toll on the course. Greens were in good shape but recently punched and still need some dressing. The rough was thin and burned out.

This course would be a south side Gem if the park district just invested a little money.

I’ve played this course many times before and it's always a crap shoot with the the course conditions. Today was another terrible course condition days. First off, we were not informed until we reached the Ranger at the first tee that the back nine greens were being aerated so we had to play the front 9 twice. All 9 greens were in the worst condition with a thick layer of hilly sand thrown about. Second, the fairway grass was thin with much of it marked off. Lastly, the bunkers were rock hard with very little sand. As if they took the sand out and covered the greens with it. I wish I took photos but I would love to forget about this waste of a golf round. What a shame,

Played here before course was in great shape greens were fast but in nice condition
