Los Amigos
The course was in decent condition because of the drought situation in Southern California. Check in was easy, but wish there were a beverage cart on the course since it was in the low 100s. Also, it could have used a Marshall or two. We waited on the 17 hole for over 30 minutes. Overall one of the better county courses around.
Decent course. Enjoyed it.
This is my second play in this course and I enjoyed it.
The course is not that hard but has some holes with water, sands that makes the course interesting.
I am planning to visit this course time to time.
Not worth the time or money
Carts were $31 or $15.50 a person. This course has gone to waste in the last 4 or so years since we’ve played. I’ve never seen so many divots on the greens and brown fairways.
S L O W
Pace of play is not existent. Tee times mean nothing. Unless you want to watch someone hit a 3 wood 8 times before they reach the green I would not come here.
Official venue of the Slow Play Olympics
For the third consecutive round that I have played at this course, one or all of my playing partners have quit and left in the middle of the round because of the extreme backup ( usually at the 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, or 12th tee). I myself have not been able to finish in daylight because of the older players in front of me who hit multiple tee shots and linger in the fairways not hitting when they have no chance of reaching the green in even two or three more shots. It only makes sense to play here when there is just enough rain to keep the gambling duffers away. Of course, there is no such thing as a marshal on this course to regulate the glacial pace of play, to say nothing of the inappropriate cart parking ( one wheel on the green) and general absence of golf etiquette.
Had a great round. Greens were solid so was the pace of play.
County Course
They collect the money, they don't put anything back in. Cash grab course just like Santa Anita. Grab the cash and say they can't water it or maintain it. 6 dollars for a bottle of water and a muffin? Give me a break. The greens were terrible and the course was in rough shape. I understand its summer but lots of other area courses can keep it together.
Course is in very good condition.
Our foursome enjoyed the course. Surprised you allow fivesomes!
Slow slow slow
Backed up!
After finishing the first hole there were 4 4somes in line for the second hole
Zero course management, they just t off as many groups as possible and care less how long your round is.
Poorly managed
opinions of an 83 yr. old senior
This is my goto golf course because it is close, affordable and the goflers i meet are pleasant.
low-handicapers will eat it up, but guys like me, the course still wins. See you out here.
PS: when I describe myself as advanced I mean I've been playing a long time.
Improved Conditions
Course was surprisingly green from how I remembers it. Greens were not bad, a little patchy but not bad. Fairways were long, couldn't take advantage of roll out on good drives.
Delay
My tee time got bumped back and noone said anything to me or my group. Very slow. 5 hour round
Los Amigos
Got there to check in early. Then we were told they are running at least 30 or more minutes behind. We were there to play twilight. Finally get called to go out, Stuck behind a group that it took 20 to 30 minutes a hole.
