Los Amigos Country Club

This course allows to many 5-player groups. This really slows down play. Also the starter does not keep track of the people teeing off. May not come back.

There are two practice putting greens. One is extremely slow, the other is medium. I found that the pace of the greens out on the course was not totally consistent. The bunkers were well-maintained. The rough alongside the fairways certainly slowed the balls down.

This was 3rd time I played this cc. I don’t play offen, but fairway do diction and green condition is turns me off to revisit next time

Conditions ok. Pace is always slow here, fivesomes were playing

I read reviews and the first time I played was last week on a Wed

It was a little over booked I thought but it wasn't too bad maybe 5 min or less waiting each tee

Today was uncalled for 15 20 min a tee waiting time and I walked the course

I walked off at 15 because it was so slow I couldn't catch a rhythm to save my life and eventually got so tired from waiting on every hole I walked off

I really like the course but probably will never come back here

I want my money back for the waste of my day 4 1/2 hours and still didn't finish ..

Only bad thing is there is no refreshment cart on the course. 18 holes is a long time to play without hydration. Get a refreshment cart and we can bump it up to 5 star

Course was challenging greens were well-maintained. It is a bit busy, but the play is manageable.

I should have listened to reviews. I used to play this course. It was a nice set up, pace was good, times were available , course interesting and not daunting and in good shape. Now it’s a nightmare- like management has given up. Only leaving stars for

Pro shop staff who were helpful and sympathetic and stars for guys I played with who were funny, had good ideas on approaches and patient. We played on a weekday - not weekend. I can’t imagine what it’s like on weekends.

The ugly- took 5:45 hours to play. That’s not a misprint. How can a short course possibly take so long ? Two to three groups deep on each hole. I did not see the normal poor/new golfers causing the slowdown- there were just way too many groups out.

Bad- course is in mediocre shape. Rough can come all the way up to the green on many holes. I’m no expert but I’ve never seen that. All kinds of ball marks on green. No one repairs their mark here? You have six hours to do it.

Two groups in front of never raked a sand trap. Poor groundskeeper looked frustrated at three holes.

The Turn- do not order from the grill. They had one guy who was cashier, cook and bartender all in one. My partners tried to call in an order at Hole 8 but no one answered. When they did get there it took 20 minutes. There was no need to rush since there were two groups waiting at 10.

Luckily for me I could get work done while I waited at each tee otherwise like other reviewers I would have left after hole 3.

Pro Shop Staff- I felt bad for them. Obviously they were just following orders and looked as frustrated as the rest of us.

I won’t be back. There are way too many other places to play where the course is managed significantly better.

We made a tee time at 3:04pm and figured we would for sure be done before dark at 8:15 or so. Instead, we wound up in a queue waiting for carts to come in. So many frustrated people who had their tee times delayed because of not having enough golf carts. Luckily we were able to sit in the shade while we waited and we were given bottles of water. We did not tee off until after 3:30pm and we therefore did not get to finish our round. The pace of play was really bad on top of the delayed tee time. We will be opting for Long Beach courses in the future.
