Slow play as always
2nd time playing this course. Thought the 5 hour round the first time around was a fluke, but not the case.
Greens are different on Front and back nines. Greens not in great shape. Back nine better but still not too good. Fairways are ok. Layout is odd. Lots of holes where you’re driving more than 2 minutes to the next hole.
Won’t play again
Nice course
Course was in good shape. Still dry and firm despite the heavy rains earlier in the week. Tree colors are very beautiful!
Best deal in area
Can’t beat the price of this place. The only real thing it lacks is a true driving range. Course conditions always seem to stay the same. Good greens and tee boxes are in a fair condition more often than not.
Course is much improved
Been several years since last played this course. The condition of the course has improved greatly over the last couple of years. Moderately challenging and pace of play was good.
No flat lies on this course
Fun and challenging course. A lot of elevation changes, water, and blind shots. I always enjoy golfing at Oak Hills. Not a long course, but if it's your first time, you'll be shaking your head because what you think is a great shot maybe big trouble! A very fun course!
Continued Improvement
I've reviewed this course several times. Oak Hills has made numerous improvements this season, including the sodding of tee boxes and the sprigging of fairways. Glad to see a portion of the #6 fairway still roped off, allowing the grass to come in.
Word has obviously gotten out, as the number of players at this course has increased. Pace of play on the front nine was fast, but several groups started on #10 (including a fivesome), so the back 9 was slow. Would like to see that monitored a little better.
Good course
I really enjoyed this course it some difficult holes because of blind spots. I will definitely go back plus staff were really friendly.
Play this course several times a year
Play this course several times a year and every time I enjoy it. The staff are courteous and very friendly and the course provides a good challenge while remaining affordable. Recommend this course to anybody in mid TN.
