Dirt and overgrown Clovers...yay! Photo submitted by PrettyPrettyGood on 06/13/2016
This course has a great layout
This was my first time playing at Oak Hill. Im relatively new to golf but I really enjoyed the course layout! Some challenging holes and unique designs.
Good course but not great
Enjoyed the time on the course today! Definitely not the nicest fringes but it’s not bad for the money. Will definitely be back!
Greens good
Greens in good shape. Chirt off the fairways. Over all a descent course. A lot of blind shots to the greens but not overly difficult. Nice layout following the terrain Worth the hot deal.
Course was in bad shape, tees we're hard, greens we're hard and bumpy. Spots where crab grass taking over greens. Cart path some concrete and half gravel. Layout of course was difficult to find your way. Going into club house, you felt like cattle being herded.
Lots of potential
This course is a great value. It is not very long but is still a good challenge. The greens were in great shape but the fairways need some work. A little TLC and this course is a gem. This was my first time playing here and I will definitely be back to play again as overall the experience was good.
Poor shape
Golf now list it as 6500 yards, course scorecard has it at 5800 yards from the back . Very bad layout and very poor conditions. Don't waste your money.
It is different
The course is not my favorite but I like playing there. I am going back in mid-summer and the fairways will have a lot of grass. The course requires a lot of thinking on tee shots and approach shots and I like that. The more you play it the more you will like and you will know where and where not to hit the ball. It is fair as far as play goes, you just need to know where to place your shots. My friends and I will play it again..
Better Second Time Around
This is a course that gets better the more you play it. There are a lot of blind shots and sloping greens and fairways that playing for middle of either could find yourself looking for your balls even after what you thought was a good shot it is an interesting and fun course to play once you gain some course knowledge
It would rate better is the condition of the fairways were better maintained
Seems like every green slopes so badly it is extremely hard to keep balls on the green. Wish a professional designer had designed the course. County side, lakes and forest look great. Many holes have people teeing off directly at you on the green or along beside you. Pretty dangerous.
Great for the money
Greens are well kept, pretty course, fairways a bit choppy but expected
