Golfer Reviews
Oh my GOD
Saw this on golfnow for 16 for 18 holes and thought I found a gem. First thing that should have let me know to stay away was a 630 tree time. It was pitch dark at 630 and couldn't see the ball until after 7am. And I didn't read the reviews of others who have played here. They were correct. They should pay you to play here. Greens were soft and slow. Fairways were not cut and rough was abhorrent. Had one hole where you teed off behind tall grass and you could not see where you were hitting. If you found you tee ball the second shot was more or the same. Paid for 18 and quit after 6 holes. Thought I would get more out of sleeping than playing. Would not play even it if was free
Course Needs Some Serious Work
From start to finish, the only part of the course in good shape was the greens. Anything off of the fairway was likely a lost ball due. Even the fairways looked like they hadn't been mowed in a long time. Even areas close to the green were weed patches with high grass. Nearly all of the bunkers had limited sand and a lot of weeds. It was sad, because the layout was nice and a good grass mowing could change the course completely. Unfortunately, it was a bad experience on what could/should be a good to great championship course.
Might be the worst course in Florida
Where do i begin?
Tee boxes are absolute trash! Uneven stances, bare spots, overgrown, and not manicured at all. Have to tee the ball up super high because the grass is in the way.
Ive lost three balls that were in play. Two in the fairway and one in the first cut of rough. Balls just disappear into the high grass.
Bunkers are completely unplayable
So many tee shots are completely or partially blind because everything is overgrown. It looks like an abandoned golf course that someone cut tiny greens out and put markers down.
#6 was 274 yards over water and a huge tree to a tiny green with two trash traps beside it.
#7 is indescribable. From the blues, you have to drive 200+ yards up the cartpath to even see where tje fairway might be. When you get back to the tee box you are completely lost again. Completely unplayable!
Read the other reviews! This is a complete watse of your time and should be delisted from GolfNow
Deplorable
Played here in June was in good condition. Played today 8/13/23 what a piece of junk around the greens is a 2 foot Forrest plan on losing several golf balls. If you are not in the fairways forget about it WILL NOT BE BACK
Beware
This course is poorly maintained, this was the only course I've played that I would lose a ball in the fairway. There is random tufts of crab grass everywhere. There is no course signage anywhere to indicate course direction. Tee boxes are not maintained whatsoever. Hole 7 you need a spotter, its a weird dog leg left that makes you drive blind over 10foot tall bushes surrounded by houses. Absolutely terrible, so much so that there's no backlog of people in front or behind you, so.. I guess that's a plus. Red ant hills as tall as the grass, bunkers are basically cement. Although most of the greens were decent.
This course can be challenging to beginners and high handicappers
My grandson and I played at Oaks and found it enjoyable but challenging and is a good course to play. I always played here when I’m in my vacation home in Bellalago which is close to Oaks.
My grandson, who is playing it for the first time, enjoyed getting pars on some of the holes that included the 4th, 6th , 7th and 8th holes. I did birdied the 4th and parred the 3rd hole along with a couple of bogeys for me.
Due to the heat we were only able to play the front nine, even though I paid for 18 holes with Golf now. We look forward to playing another round hopefully to include the back nine when I’m back to my place in Bellalago probably next month, weather permitting.
All in all I recommend this course to golfers like us who like to be challenged with watery holes and relatively lengthy holes.
Lacking maintenance
What is crazy about this course is that the greens are not bad at all, but the tee boxes are really bad and if they would spend time mowing and some basic tree trimming this could be a great place to play. It becomes frustrating when you loose balls in the middle of the fairway.
Believe the reviews
It looks like an abandoned golf course. The back 9 looks more like Jurassic Park… the pics of the fair way not the rough .. Golf Now Should pull it and refund my money ..
I will say everyone was very nice .. I truly believe they felt bad … this a management problem … if your i equipment, is broke, hire someone to come in and cut the grass. Maybe one of the kids locally could do it lol.
Needs to be mowed
Tee boxes no grass most were dirt.
Sand traps no sand grass growing in traps
Lost balls in fairway due fairways not being mowed . When asked about fairways not being mowed was mower is broken. Mower had to broken for a long time.
Greens were the best of any part of the course.
Worst course I have ever played!
Grass wasn’t cut.
Holes were not marked!
Lost balls in middle of fairway!
Wet!
No lightning shelters!
And many other things.
WALKED OFF THE COURSE AFTER 4 HOLES IT WAS SO BAD!
Course PRO told me that GOLF NOW would REFUND my money!
Wish I would have read the reviews!!!!
Unfortunately this was our first booking using golf now, and we did not see the reviews, if we had we would have never booked this course!! The holes you could see from the club house (1,2 &18) seemed nice. When we teed off, the sprinklers were on on the 1st hole green, which was a soggy puddle when we got there. Most of the course had not been cut in forever and you could not find your ball in the fairway. Tee boxes were a mess, most of the time you felt like you were hitting out of a bunker. The only plus was no one else was there so we were able to play a good pace for our kids.
Hayfield
The course is not maintained. Plain and simple. Lost numerous balls in the fairway because it wasn't mowed. Only portion of course maintained was the greens.
Now the fairways
First time playing this track I know we’ve had rain but it was like the fairways hadn’t been touched in weeks. Tee boxes were horrible I will give them credit the greens were decent . Unless they make a real effort to improve the course I can’t see it staying open . We will not be back we got what we paid for lesson learnt
Greens are good, fairways need work!
Good course for average players. The greens are in good condition, but the fairways need some attention.
Awful course with awful and dangerous conditions.
Weeds all over the fairways. Sand spots all over greens. There is a bridge that has so much wood rot that I almost turned around halfway through. The bridge is missing wooden planks. Missing half of the railing. Very messy, bad signage. Overall horrible course.
