Oaks National Golf Club

The course is in a bad state. Needs a lot of TLC. Really bad all around except greens. Tee boxes were like hitting from a sand trap. Strange fairways with no consistent gras but more like rough.

It could be a great course if someone wanted to invest in developing the fairways and paths etc. as the course layout is great.

This is the worst course I've ever played. No rakes. Sand traps are hard pack dirt. Most tee boxes are dirt or sand. Fairways are mostly weeds. Greens are bumpy and weeds. We had early tee time and still took more than 5 hours. Clubhouse had no beer, no hot dogs and also out of alcohol. If I could give this course minus 1 star I would.

Either a lack of maintenance or. Dollars reinvested but probably both

Not managed well - starter had a tough time. Took us 5 hours & 45 minutes to finish the round. The tee boxes were awful, fairways were poor. Greens were fair.

Tough course , not really set up for novice players as many shots have to be very good to score

With a little bit more effort ie fairway work this could be a very nice course

Definitely good value for 45 dollars but if fixed up a hit it would be a great course at 60 to 70 dillars

I have played this course a few times. It is clear they are doing nothing with the course.

Staff is misleading, not friendly. If you want cheap golf, this is it. If you want to enjoy golf, go somewhere else

Nice golf course, nice layout.

Not too easy not too hard some challenging holes.

Front 9 in rough shape, fairways were dry need more watering, tee box need a lot of work lot of them on sand, back 9 was much better.

Not sure if this is the off season for golf courses.

Other than the greens, the course needs a lot of work. The fairways were dry and in many areas lacking grass and very hard. The fairways need water and weed killer. The balls rolled and rolled.

Better signage would also help.

However, we we out enjoying the day on the course. That helped!!!

I played 170 rounds of golf last year in 6 states and Canada and have never written a negative review until today. No starter, no marshals, tee decks mostly dirt and very slow play due to over booking. After 4 1/2 hours and only 13 holes we left the course. based on the play on the back 9 the round would have been well over 6 hours. I told the owner about our experience and he said there was nothing wrong except my impatience and then walked away. I was not asking for anything, even if a rain check was offered I would have turned it down as I would not play this course again even for free.

I have played plenty of mediocre courses but overall this was the worst golf experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this course to anyone for any amount of money

This seems to be a HOA owned golf course, not enough carts, plays at 5 1/2 hours plus, no rangers, management allows twosomes to go out 4 of these in a row while balance of players are delayed. Tees are bare of grass, with very few exceptions.

The course has a very nice layout. Unfortunately the fairways and tee boxes are in bad shape. No rakes around the sand traps are to be found. No starter so you simply drive up (cart) to the first tee and line up. It feels like a fast food drive thru which results in slow pace. The only positive aspect was the quality of the greens.

I was in a pinch and wanted to play a round for cheap so I saw Oaks National. While the price was decent the course conditions were unacceptable especially considering the difficult layout.The tee boxes were mostly sand, bunkers were groomed but very hard and chunky(tee boxes probably were better bunkers than the bunkers). Fairways were fair, pretty dry considering it’s Florida. The only good thing about the course itself were the greens. The staff on the other hand were very friendly and very professional. It’s really too bad that the course wasn’t nearly as nice. I wouldn’t recommend this course to anybody except to maybe pick up a hotdog in the clubhouse.
