Hibiscus Golf Club
About
Hibiscus Golf Club is one of the few 18-hole courses in Naples that are open to the public. The course is player enough for beginners and while it may not be what you're looking for if you're in search of a formidable test, it's good for some casual practice for the more advanced player. The layout balances player-friendly, wide fairways with greens that are guarded by strategically placed bunkers. There is a series of lakes and streams throughout the golf course that come into play on nearly every hole. The golf course has seen several improvements since it first opened in 1969, especially after it was badly damaged from a hurricane. More than 200 trees were added as well as 1,200 grasses and shrubs. Hibiscus Golf Club also has a driving range and putting green.

Good restaurant
For being closed for renovations 9 months, does not look like anything was done. Course conditions are horrible. Greens are dying, bumpy & covered in sand. Fairways are dying.
Paid a golf pass rate of $79.50.
Will not return.
GreensWereSandy
Great public course. Staff put lots of sand on the greens ; made it very difficult to putt early when dew was on the ground. Clubs, ball, hands all full of wet sand.
Very poor greens
The whole course was closed and redone last year(23). It was supposedly improved. I saw no improvement except maybe the tee boxes are better. Plus the creek on 10 fairway was filled in.
The $100 i paid was far in excess what it should have been.
Greens freshly sanded made it impossible to putt. No one told us either.
I will not play it again at any price for at least a year!
The course spent a lot of money last year on improving the course . Problem the grounds keepers are terrible, the greens are terrible. Not worth what they’re charging. Still needs lots of help. Not worth it right now
Nice course
First time playing Hibiscus. Greens on the front nine had some damage and bumpy in spots. Back nine greens were much better.
Much better back 9
Greens on front 9 were pretty rough as stated in other reviews. Greens on the back were much nicer. Worker noted that the front greens are a few months younger than the back, so hopefully that will improve over the summer. Public golf is expensive in naples for what you get, but I enjoyed the course overall.
Course is conking along well with renovations
This course is a decent value for its location. It is growing into its renovations. Recorded my first ever ace on number 3 so I will be biased from here on out. Waiting to see what course does when you get a hole in one.
Naples Regular
The greens are sooo slow they drive me crazy. They also were patchy with bald spots.
It's disgraceful what they charge for that cow pasture,
Most Greens are in bad shape
Course underwent a renovation last year from tee to green. Tee boxes and fairways are slowly maturing and fine. The greens, with the exception of a few, are developing multiple, major bare spots. I was told it’s not a fungus; the root system is failing. They’re awful to putt. Looks like they threw some sand down, but they need major attention. Rough is just weeds and bare spots. Hopefully there’s a second phase to the renovation to do the rough. Won’t be back until they repair the greens.
Hibiscus
first of all I heard this course shut down a few months ago to do maintenance. Not sure where they did this. the course in my opinion was deplorable. The greens looked diseased and patchy and were not cut. The tee boxes were rough. I would not pay $20 to play this course in my city. I was very disappointed. In fact we left at the 14th hole because the pace of play was slow. There were two hole open in front of the group ahead of us. I will cross this course off my list
Overpriced
Greens were in terrible shape and the course was rough. Waaaay too much for the condition of the course.
Disappointed after shut down
I have golfed this course many times and was not at all impressed with the conditions after 6 months of closure. The fairways are full of weeds and the greens are rough. With the inflated prices definately not good value.
