Hibiscus Golf Club is one of the few 18-hole courses in Naples that are open to the public. The course is player enough for beginners and while it may not be what you're looking for if you're in search of a formidable test, it's good for some casual practice for the more advanced player. The layout balances player-friendly, wide fairways with greens that are guarded by strategically placed bunkers. There is a series of lakes and streams throughout the golf course that come into play on nearly every hole. The golf course has seen several improvements since it first opened in 1969, especially after it was badly damaged from a hurricane. More than 200 trees were added as well as 1,200 grasses and shrubs. Hibiscus Golf Club also has a driving range and putting green.

Fairways need work
The bermuda grass is dormant at best. Water drainage seems like an issue. Wet fairways. Soft, wet lies and no grass make it hard to score.

Slow day at Hibiscus
Tee times too close together. Little ranger supervision. No discount for walking. Overall very very slow. Best course design and layout of any public course in Naples area. Outstanding staff and club house amenities. Great feel of friendly course.

Most of the fairways are fuzzy mud and sand. Very little turf left. Greens were still good. Course is ready for the upcoming renovations.

Good course. Easy to book via Golfnow. So many courses down here are private or difficult to get a tee time. We enjoyed our round. Very crowded but it was MLK holiday. Would play here again.
