Fairways were in good condition, greens need some attention.
Disappointed
It could be great,.........but it isn't. First glance: weeds and more weeds!! The place is old and I assume was once a top of the line country club. The price and the layout make it a very good choice for a round of golf. However the recently cut grass could be baled and used to feed a small herd of cattle. The fairways were cut, hence the dead grass clippings but the ruff was not cut and it was tall. There were bare spots, limbs down, dead trees and shrubs and many other sights not pleasing to the eye. But again, it is a very good layout and it was good enough for me. Tee Boxes, fairways and greens were good. Sand traps, cart paths tee markers and other items were not what you would like to see.
Outstanding Layout with the rolling hills!!
Awesome tuff course, bunkers could use some raking and maintenance, but overall excellent place!!
Best bang for your buck
I’ve played this course quite a number of times. They are getting the green back into shape which is nice the only other thing that needs a lil work would be the fairways. Other than that it is definitely the best bang for your buck.
Very tough to play with the thin lies
I have lived in Ocala for 14 years. I have seen lots of courses here close or go from great courses to really poor ones. This is yet another one of those courses. We used to play this course all of the time. It is in such bad shape now that I probably will not come back. The bunkers are being grown over by grass, the fairways are so thin it is like hitting off concrete, and the course is now absent of distance markers.
Nice
Course conditions were good except the traps which were hard and contained weeds in several.
Great Layout
The course is in nice shape. The greens are great. Fairways are mowed and green. Tee boxes are fair while the bunkers need a lot of work. Rough was mowed and lush.

good course, needs some attention but great deal thru Golfnow made it a pleasure
Great track
Very challenging. Needs some TLC. Only real negative I can say is Clubhouse was closed when we got back from our round and it wasn’t even 5 o’clock yet.
Golf
Great day of golf the course is nice but the bunkers need major work. Zero sand all weeds & hardpan fixing the bunkers would greatly enhance play. Otherwise great value for the fee
