Good greens
Greens in great shape. Fairways good, tee blocks fair. Bunkers crap. Still don't understand why a great layout such as this refuses to fix or maintain the bunkers. I would play this course everyday as it is a fun and interesting layout. I would give it five stars all around if it were not for the bunkers.
Golf course very good , traps very bad. Best in this area of Florida Ocala
Great course for the price!
Love everything about this course. Course conditions other than bunkers are great! Greens were fast and true. For the price you just can't beat it.
Review
The course was wet but playable,
A Ranger was needed to remind the golfers ahead of me to play intelligently especially don’t leave the carts on the fairway while they walk up to the green to play out, then walk back down holding up my play.
Confusion
Booking screwed up.... we booked 10 am tee-time, got to the course to find out it was actually 1:00 pm tee-time and after paying GN we paid again at the course. HELP...?
WOW, Big Improvement Since 2 Years Ago
Last time I played this course was 2 years ago and I swore I would never play it again. Well after reading reviews, I thought I would give it a try. I was really impressed, great greens, fairways and I love the layout. The sand traps need work but other than that I'll be back to play again.
I really like the set up for the red/ladies tee boxes, there is a fair distance between the men's tees and ladies tees.
I think it's getting better.
I've been away. 1st time playing the course in over 2 months. The fairways looked a little greener. Everything else was about the same. The greens were good (a bit slow). Rough & bunkers still need a lot of work. It's still the best layout in the Ocala area. But the everyday price is just not the best bang for your buck. I paid $40 to play, because I waited till the last minute to book. And I'm not upset about it, because I really enjoy playing this course. It easily could be (COULD BE!) the best public course in Ocala. Just restoring the bunkers would make an enormous difference. This time of year, 25 - $30 is a great price. $35 for last minute. And right now, anything over that, is a deal breaker.

Overall good value and course. 7/ 10 for course conditions and does not beat you up.
Good value
For the money, this was a very good value. The greens are in very good to excellent condition. The fairways are very good as well. The tee boxes are a bit domed. The sand traps are horrible and grass is starting to overtake some of them. The traps definitely need some TLC.
All in all, it was a great value for the money. The staff are excellent as well.
I would have given 4 stars or more if the bunkers were in good condition.
