Ocala National Had Problems
We arrived at the golf club with other folks standing and waiting on a golf cart. All of their carts were out on the course!!
It was very crowded and another large party arriving to golf
So we asked if we could cancel our tee time.
The staff said sure, not a problem.
We left and played elsewhere.
Maintenance Starting To Suffer
I have payed this course many times and really do enjoy the track. But, I can tell there is starting to be a lack of maintenance. No water in teh ball washers, really ??? It doesnt cost anything to put water in teh ball washers. Also some grass area are getting overgrown. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all still in great shape. Greens kind of slow though. Overall for $25 at noon you cant beat this deal.
Course layout was amazing. The only thing, I personally didn’t care for was most tee boxes were right next to the previous hole. Came close to getting hit a couple of times. Greens were a bit deceiving but top notch compared to other courses. The driving range was nice as well, definitely like it. The clubhouse was lovely but nothing was available as far as food, and it was near 11am when we tried.

Great layout. Tee boxes could use some work. Very dry no grass on several of them.
Almost excellent
Great layout with interesting holes and smooth, healthy greens. Fairways are fine for this time of year but the tees and traps need some serious work. Perhaps they are too far gone and are in line for some complete renovation work. But they are playable, if not pretty. Staff is very friendly and the pace of play was good. A gem of a course that just needs some expensive work. Great bargain at this time of year!
Beautiful course
This is a really beautiful course and a great layout. Some tee boxes and parts of fairways were sparse but overall good condition.
Great place, may not be for everyone, though?
I really like this course. It is an older course and clubhouse. Not everyone enjoys the older finer things and places, sadly. The staff is always Friendly, when we have been there.
The course was is great shape for the time of year.
I would recommend this older jem of a golf course.
The price was very reasonable also. Around $40 with a cart.
Give it a try if you're in the area.
Nice course
Course was as expected. Greens rolled very nice. A few weeds but you just need to move your ball 6 inches then, you are not paying for PGA course.
Greens excellant - fairways good - tees terrible - no grass very hard not watered at all.
This is a challenging golf course .
The greens are excellent , fairways and tee boxes decent . Sand bunkers especially the faces need some TLC
Nice layout but mediocre conditions at best
Greens are okay but the fairways and bunkers were terrible. I would recommend it only if you're looking for a cheap round of golf.
