Pleasant surprise
Course not perfect but very playable. Greens were good,fairways ok. Will be playing again. My Lady friend liked it,sooo that makes it good.
This could be a beautiful course if….
Greens were great, fairways not so much. Definitely could be a top course if they’d spend money on amenities and course. Great design. Was fun for $35.
Ocala National
Love the course layout. Greens are looking pretty good. A few of the tee boxes are rough, but overall good. Great value for the money. This is our “go to” course.
Potential
The course needs attention. The fairways are tight, and the bunkers are atrocious. The greens putt beautifully.
Will give it another try.
Crappy Poor Maintenance
Lot of weed patches in the fairways. Overgrown off the fairways. Branches and general debris in the roughs. Bunkers don’t have much sand and are hard packed. Pace on front nine was ok then management let two twosomes come on the back nine in front of us. Really backed up then with 13 golfers packed up???
Better than expected
Played this course in years past, and although it has never been in "perfect" condition, it was much better this time around. Tees and fairways ok for this time of year, and greens were surprisingly good. Traps as miserable as before, so no surprise there. Great Rees Jones layout that you will enjoy no matter what the conditions are. Staff was friendly and pace of play moved right along. A great value at the price.
Great Value
The course was in fair overall shape considering it's still winter. The greens were excellent.
Getting Better But Not Sure
Playing a round will be 5 to 6 hours. Jason accepts everybody.
You might think you are getting a deal. read above.
35 to 40 dollars gets you this. Book a Tee Time Doesn't matter.
You will still be 5 to 6 hours. Golf Now People still 5 to 6hours.
This is what you get.
Get out before 1100am the course is great for the price.
After that hang on.
Poor Conditions
The course has the potential to be good, but it has broken limbs everywhere and you can barely tell fairway apart from rough. all sand traps overgrown and greens are poor.
Much improved
It had. Been about 6-8 weeks since played here last. The greens are way better, the rough was trimmed up . Fairways are better but still need some help.
Nice layout
Overall the course was a good value for the money. Greens and tee boxes good, fairways were fair and bunkers need attention. The course needs a Ranger to keep things moving. Skipped hole 16 because hole was backed up.
