The Cape Club of Palm City

Fox club, located in Palm City Florida, is simply an outstanding Florida golf course. Not only does the layout have a Carolina feel to it, at the same time this course reminds you that you are in fact playing golf through the deep southeast Florida wetlands with a local Gator hanging out close by somewhere to be seen. Originally opened as Cobblestone in 1989, this course went under a renovation in 2004 by Hall of Fame golfer Darren Clarke who decided to change the name over to the Fox Club. For many years this was one of the most exclusive private clubs the world, which was home to many prestigious professional and amateur golf tournaments such as the International Four Ball. This event has been won by past champions such as Jack Nicklaus. Lets not forget also that pro golfers such as Ian Baker Finch, Gene Sauers, Larry Loretti, and 2005 Players Championship champion Fred Frunk have all at one point been members of the Fox Club. Recently in 2018 this course changed hands with new ownership who decided that it would be great to become a semi private club to allow the public the opportunity to experience golf at a private facility. What you will experience at the Fox Club is wonderful hospitality and respect that very few ever experience along with one of the most purest golf layouts in Florida or anywhere in the country with plenty of beautiful wildlife spread throughout. Brand new beautiful white sand is what you will find in all the bunkers along with the best putting surfaces in Martin County and arguably anywhere in Southeast Florida. When your round is finished, a gorgeous clubhouse greets you as you make your way down the 18th fairway. Head inside to freshen up in what I find to be a the perfect classic golf locker room, unwind in the men's lounge along with having a drink on the patio overlooking the 18th fairway. A round of golf at The Fox club is money will spent and a memory to be cherished for a lifetime.

Good value; fast greens, fresh sand in the bunkers, fairways in ok shape, challenging track; friendly staff, beautiful clubhouse; very good food; will come back again

Most holes were unique, requiring well placed drives. Plenty of bunkers and water that are fairly placed. Greens roll fast, true and have undulations or different elevations. Plenty of tee boxes to fit your playing ability. Could use a few more marked sprinkler heads or a yardage booklet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our first time but we’ll definitely be back.

I had the opportunity to play this course when it was still private. I was amazed by the layout and the beauty of the surrounding. The mysterious drive after 2nd green to the 3rd tee then only to emerged and greeted by unexpected, inviting beautiful golf hole. looking forward to go out there again. I liked the improvement what i saw yesterday to this place since went public when neither bathroom on the course was working.

Course was in very good shape with best greens we have putted on in this area so far.

Staff/waiters very friendly and attentive. Course was a little wet in areas, but over all Very Good.

This is a great course and fun to play. There is a very unique tee box system that allows you to customize your yardage. The greens are excellent and fast with a lot of slope.. I will become a regular at this course and highly recommend it.

I always love to play fox club, but don’t enough because I live too far away. The greens were in excellent shape and the course itself is always a fun challenge. Can’t wait to get back out to fox club.

We love to play this course. It has a nice layout and the staff is all exceptionallly friendly! Pace slowed down a bit after 7 holes but we were a twosome so kind of expected it. When speaking with staff after they suggested other days to book play to avoid slow in future.... very nice! We are in the area for a month and no doubt will return a couple more times.

Course is challenging enough for low handicappers yet forgiving enough for those of us who need it. Staff was great too.

The course is great, greens run pretty smooth and fast.

There are houses around but they aren't on top of the holes.

This place could use GPS and definitely more sprinkler markings in the fairway and markers on the path.

Solid track, greens very well. Staff very good, definitely a must play
