Nice layout
A very good course. Thoughtful layout that is fair to the average golfer.
Maybe too many people that effected the pace of play.
Great employees from the pro shop to the restaurant
Most enjoyable and definitely will play again
Overbooked
Course was overbooked. Had to wait 30 minutes past scheduled tee time to get a cart, and then waited another 15 minutes for the first tee to clear. Waited on every shot on every hole. Some holes there was a group on the green, one in the fairway and another on the tee box waiting and we were behind them.
Usually enjoyable course, but check how crowded before scheduling.
This course can be a great course, needs some work.
Enjoy this course, good lay out, good fairways, good greens (not great), the rough needs cleaning up.
The course was crowded which delayed the pace of play probably from over booking T times.
Greens and Bunkers
Great layout to the course, huge practice putting green and range with separate chipping green. But the two things that set Bloomingdale apart for me are the fast greens and raked bunkers. You won’t find rain-packed sand in any bunker here, and you actually need to have touch on the greens if you expect to make putts. I’m going back asap.
Old, Muddy and Narrow Back Nine
Greens were pretty good though. I got a super cheap hot deal of $13 on a Tuesday afternoon, so with that considered it was a great value. Cart paths are rough. This club has been in existence a long time, so many areas are compacted, so even with hardly any rain, this time of year with less daylight, you get a lot of muddy lies. Thin lies too. Sand traps are in good shape. Overall, it only took 3.25 hrs to play 18, so one can't complain. However, it was one single or twosome after another in front of me and in back of me. Everyone was waiting on every shot. There was probably one group way ahead that was too slow. Maybe a marshal would help. Carts are electric with USB connection. Nice practice area; very active. If the back nine was as open as the front (which isn't that open anyway), it would make the course more fun, and probably improve the pace of play; but it's not possible to do anything about that. Could use drinking water on course, but bartenders in clubhouse were very nice.
First Round Blues
This was the first time my wife and I played this course and we had a hard time with the layout. You definitely need to play this a few times to get a good score. The holes were all challenging for us It was a great day in the sun playing golf.
Great time at Bloomingdale
The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling at 10 or 11..
