About
Opened in 1922, Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the Tampa Bay area. In fact, it's the only 18-hole golf course in Florida that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's the centerpiece of the Temple Terrace community and it's much loved by locals. At 6,443 yards from the back tees, the golf course is short by modern standards but what it lacks in length it makes up for in other challenges. The layout has a traditional design with small greens and tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy. Several strategically positioned bunkers also come into play along the greens. There are some tight spots and a fair amount of tricky holes, but overall Temple Terrace is player friendly enough for all skill levels.

Over priced for what you get
I was excited to play this course amd the first few holes were good. Then, on hole 5 it all went downhill and fast. The pace of play was slowed by a few groups and no ranger said or did a thing about it. Saw the ranger at least three times and asked to help with the pace, but no dice. Fairways were in fair condition and greens were fast (not a problem there) but without a closely monitored pace, the game was thrown off. Got a deal for $70.00 and wouldn’t pay that kind of money for this track. $50, sure, but not $70+.
The Good and the Bad
Good:
Pro shop was friendly
Pace of play was great
Cart Girl was nice and efficient
BAD:
Fairway conditions were horrible
Greens were not much better
No driving range(hit into net for warmup)
Definitely not worth $90
Not worth the price.
Honestly it’s a fun layout and the trees that line the fairways are really nice. The fairways are not well maintained, dirt bunkers, greens were full of weeds and crab grass. I wanted to love this course but you can’t justify $92 for a 12:40 tee time. My review would have been 4 stars if they were charging $40. Also cart girl only came by once in 18 holes, why even have a cart girl? No Ranger on the course, the foursome in front is us made it a 5 hour round. Won’t be back unless they drop prices significantly or get the course in better shape.
Staff and members were amazing
Just like the title says, the highlight of the round was the people they were awesome maybe I just got lucky but who knows. The course was fine. There was a lot of rain the night before into the morning I played so the bunkers were full of water but no big deal the layout was fun nice easier course.
Fun course and very fast pace of play which is nice this time of year. Conditions were good considering how dry it has been.
Ok for price.
The course was ok…greens dotted with competing grass/weeds. A good way to have a quick weekday round of golf. Course layout can be a touch confusing. Random neighborhood residents walking on the course
Great time
Staff was super friendly. Got us out 1/2 early. Played in under 3.5 hours. Greens roll fast. Met the club pro out practicing.
