Awesome Day!
We had a wonderful day of golf, not having to wait long, nor pushed. The course was in wonderful condition, although rain the night before didn't allow too much roll. We love the layout and beautiful views along the lake...all in all one of my favorite golf courses!
Quick afternoon round
2 players finished (18) holes in 3 hours, without any rushing. Hot but occasional nice breeze. Greens, fairways & tee boxes in excellent condition! Will play 2-3 more times this year! Tee off around 1pm to miss morning crew and afternoon league play.
The course is BEAUTIFUL
Such a wonderful course. One top notch courses in Northern Ky. It is defiantly a golf course with view!!!!
OVERBOOKED!!!!
I booked on GolfNow about 45 minutes before my round and they had tee times available every ten minutes for hours. Then I get there and they have some 7up Junior Tour event going on and there are people everywhere. Despite that event going on they still booked a full slate of tee times. The pace of play was atrocious. Playing as a single, twice I paired up with the group in front of me and both time the rest of that group just left after playing a few holes. It's a great course but today it was poorly managed.
Excellent Condition
The course is beautiful and in excellent condition.
GREAT TIME
I took my boys (25-21) out and we had a great time. This is the first time I have played the course and I was very satisfied. Terry was great and all the staff were great. My boys really enjoyed the course too.
I plan on playing here more often and the 25 min drive was worth it.
The greens were in great shape and the fairways were also. I would recommend this course to anyone.
GREAT TIME
I went with my two boys and I couldn't have picked a better weather day to play. Gorgeous. Course was way more than expected and the staff was great too. A drink cart would have been nice but not needed. Beautiful greens and fairways. I will be back again this year.
Nice Course
For a short hitter like me this is a good course. Not that the course is short but rather course is played by position rather than length. Lots of difficult tee shots that require landing in certain areas. Also very small flat areas on greens so holes are
Protected that way as well. Beware of thick rough, balls can disappear in there be sure where ball lands.
Excellent course, will be back
The course was in terrific shape. Greens were fast and had some break to them which made it a challenging round. Overall great condition for everything and super friendly staff. Only negative I had was the slow play of the group in front of us. Really put a damper on the rouND and made it hard to get in a rythym.

Friendly staff, great course
My first time playing this course will not be my last. The staff was absolutely amazing, super nice and friendly. The condition of the course was outstanding. The rough was not too high so you could still find stray tee shots but still long enough to make it noticeable. The fairways were in great shape and the greens were challenging but fun! Will definitely be playing this course again!
Sunday Funday
I've grown up playing this course. In my 30+ years of playing here, the conditions today were immaculate. Tee boxes, fairways, greens, sand traps...excellent. The rough is thick and plentiful, keeping you honest. I caught a hot deal and saved some money. Although I would gladly pay full price. They do run specials occasionally, get on their mailing list. Go play Jolly, you won't regret it. Also, please replace your divots and fix your ball marks...don't be that guy/gal.
scenic course
I wont be back. I am a senior citizen and there are no forward tees for seniors making the course very extremely long for me. Some holes are golf carts on paths only, which again makes it hard for seniors. They should have handicap flags for us, which most courses have.

Course was in good shape. Greens a little slow but still early in season. Bunkers in good shape. Worth the price.

if you are not in the fairway your ball are going to be lost.

We ARE NOT afraid to evolve, in an effort to help ALL golfers enjoy their experience at our Beautiful Golf Course. Great way to spend a Sunday!
The staff was enjoyable, course was in great shape and it's a great place for beginners like myself with the wide open fairways!
AJ is in fantastic shape
Greens are the best I have ever seen at AJ Jolly. True rolls and very few ball marks not repaired. The fairways and tee boxes are also in great shape. Due to the conditions of the course, I think it is the best course for your money when playing in Northern Kentucky...Sept 2015.
AJ Jolly is a Gem and Its Back!
Course conditions were incredible. Staff was friendly and warm. I would recommend this course to anyone. Views are nice, wildlife is abundant, course has some challenging holes and some not so challenging holes, so for the typical weekend golfer I think it sets up nice without being too difficult or too easy.

no pace of play
The course looked nice, we were excited to play a hilly course as that is something we aren't used to. The staff was helpful and very nice. Pace of play was excruciating. After 3 1/3 hours we had only 11 holes and had waited for every shot on every hole. I don't know if there was an outting in front of us or letting twosomes play through foursomes just isn't done but it was not fun. We were disappointed not to finish our round but didn't have time to stay for the last 7 holes :(
Dear Golfer,
I certainly apologize for your negative experience at our beautiful, well ran golf course. I do wonder what time you teed off? I'll guarantee it was not a morning tee time. When we run heavily DISCOUNTED specials, and we are booked from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM with ZERO vacant times, these things can happen. Especially, if you tee off toward the tail end of that time frame. We try to avoid slow play, but it's just not possible at times, unless you start kicking people off the course. That is not something we can do. Bottom line... I agree with you! 6 hour rounds are not acceptable. Try teeing off before 10:00 AM next time, and I will guarantee you a round of golf in 4 - 4.5 hours.
I was confused by some of your overall review. You said in sentence number two, "The staff was helpful and very nice." Then, you gave us a 2 out of 5 on STAFF FRIENDLINESS. Those are two completely different statements within one review...???

I am sorry you felt your were short changed. We DEFINITELY plan to add forward tees later this year. We are aware of how long our course can play for Seniors and Females when the conditions are soft. Later this summer when we are running firm and fast, you may enjoy yourself at our course. The bottom line is that you are NOT wrong with your review. We plan to add forward tees to #3, #6, and several other holes that currently play a bit unfair for shorter hitters. Thanks for coming out. We hope to see you in the future.
