DO NOT go if it rains the night before or in morning!!!!
Our tee time was at 1145am and yes it rained that morning. But the time we teed off it was perfect. But they would not let the carts off the path and the slowed us up all day. There was only 3 of us but it took us 4 hrs to play and we had no wait. We couldn't take carts off the part but they could have 5 or 6 tractors 3 times the weight of carts cutting grass up and down the middle of fairways. Does not make sense.
Don't go if it rain the night before!!!
I would recommend this course only if it hasn't rained that morning or the night before. This is about the only course I play that if it rains the night before you CANNOT take carts of the cart path. Not even 90 degrees. Explain this yes it rain this morning but they had about 5 tractors cutting grass going up and down the middle of fairway. Those things weigh 3 times as much as a golf cart but u r not allowed to go 90 degrees CART PATH ONLY. It is not a Country Club. There was no one out there and there were 3 of us and it took us over 4 hrs to play because of this. And we had 2 guys shot in the low 80's. DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE IF IT RAINS!!!
Well worth the drive from Cincinnati
This course takes a while to get to from the Cincinnati suburbs but it is well worth the trip. The greens, fairways and tee boxes may be the best conditioned in the area. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The course is challenging for any level golfer. There many holes with either, or both, elevated tee boxes and greens. Unfortunately too far to be my regular course, but I'll definitely be back.
AJ Jolly > All NKY public courses
From top to bottom this is the spot to play in NKY. Staff is great. 99% of the golfers are great. Course is in great shape. Greens roll true. If you don't hit it fairly accurate you're going to be in for some trouble but that's truly the only con of AJJ. Can't wait to get back out there this weekend!
Thank You Very Much! We really appreciate you taking the time to give us an excellent review. We strive to exceed expectations. I'm glad you enjoyed your experience.

Nice Course
First time playing AJ Jolly and it was a pleasant surprise. It was in great condition. Not very long, although the par 5s seem like miles long. Greens rolled true the entire round. I will play here more in the future.
Great Course for Risk Takers
Great course, very challenging, multi tiered greens and sloping fairways, tee boxes are like carpet!
5 hour 10 min round
Course is ok second time my round was over 5 hours will not play again there they send walkers out on a busy day nothing against walkers I walk sometimes but not in the middle of 4 somes no rangers to enforce slow play sorry just don't have time for 5 hour rounds
Nice Public Course
As far as public golf courses go, AJ Jolly is better than most I've played in terms of course condition. However, it is pretty short from the back tees and my round was over five hours long. I would recommend this course if you're looking for a leisurely, low priced round of golf.
Hidden Gem (from me at least)
I've been playing for over 15 years. I played in a golf outing here last year and fell in love with the course. I've since played it 10 times.
I'll be playing it at least once a week this season. The staff couldn't be nicer and they are always happy. The metts and dogs are oversized and the beer is always cold.
The course: On this day, it was a real challenge. Every course is so wet right now that you are on cart paths only. If you don't stay on the fairways, you are in for a long round and you WILL lose some balls from getting plugged. The greens are nice and fast though.
A few of my favorite things about the course; you are rarely battling players on other holes. You never have anyone hitting into you from another hole. When the course is dry, there is no better course around. It's challenging without being too frustrating. Whoever the greenskeeper is deserves a gold star (or a few beers).
You will not see much residential development. I LOVE IT. I could sit at the tee box at 18 forever. What a view. That being said, stay after for at least one beer to sit on the deck. The view is crazy beautiful.
I wish I would have found AJ Jolly many years ago. It's a bit of a haul to get there, but it is well worth it!!! My new favorite course.
Great Track
Staff very freindly, and helpful as always. Course in greatb shape
Good time
Nice course good pace of play fun day with my son. We will be playing here again.
Scenic Course !
One of my favorites courses to play around the tri-state area.
Very nice golf course---happily surprised
Course was in great condition...real-live fairways and excellent greens. Not an overly-long course, but with plenty of twists and turns you'll find that you'll use all of the clubs in your bag. We'll definitely be back!
Love it
Jolly is one of my favorites, it's a little out of the way but worth the trip. Course is in great shape and a fun place to play.
Awesome Golf Course
This course is a great place for any level of golfers. It's neither easy nor difficult. Wonderful staff and the course has always been in great shape when I've played there.
Great Condition
The course and greens were in great condition. The rough wasn't unmanageable and the greens weren't too fast.
Course Shape.
As I told them in the shop, the course was in thebest shape than any course I had play this year. Great job on the course grounds keeping!
One of the best values in the area
Great staff, fantastic course and got in for an awesome price. The pace of play was on the slow side but not unbearable. If you get a chance to play this little gem do it!
To Whom It May Concern,
AJ Jolly Golf Course has had rain 11 out of the last 16 days, including over 7 inches in the last 7 days as of right now (1:45 PM EST Thursday, July 2nd). We understand customer impact, when keeping the carts on the path. We have a Monday morning Senior league with 48 players ranging from age 50 - 91. They played this past Monday morning after a 2 hour delay. They generally play at 9:00, and didn't get off until 10:45. Not a single one of them complained about carts being on the path. When you see mowing being done on a day when carts are limited to the path, it is because it's a NECESSITY. We mow the high sides where moisture is at a minimum. We can't just let the grass go for a few days. We have 175 acres to cut. We MUST keep up with it, or we end up baling it.
Thank you for understanding.
