Course Is In Great Shape
The course was in great shape. Green were lightning fast, much faster than normal.
Get out early finish quickly before the heat.
Played as a single and flew around the course in 3:15 playing 3 balls on select shots. Fun

Rode the Blues (6751/72.7/138) in 3H, 15M mid day on a GN "Hot Deal" as a single. Smokey, breezy and in the high 80's made for challenging golfing conditions. Fires 100 miles north have the whole area looking like it is fogged in.
Tees were semi lush and most were well maintained for divots. Some could use leveling.
Fairways lush, nice to play from.
Rough was fairly lush close to the fairway. Mostly mowed down, not overly penal. Thinner the farther you got from the fairway.
Sand traps had good quality sand and were very well maintained.
Large, undulating greens were smooth, medium fast and firm, they held irons with some run out.
Customer service was very good. Basic carts do not have GPS, and the course is not well marked for yardages if you do not have a measuring device of some kind. Challenging layout in nice condition. Both the layout and the greens are outstanding. Definitely recommended.
Great Track. Needs player assistants
This course is fantastic from the pro shop to the restaurant to the course. Only needs 1 think. PLAYER ASSISTANT’S. Pace of play was terrible, mostly because of a walking 3some that finished with4 open holes in front of them and wouldn’t let any of the5 groups behind the play thru. Everything else is great
Paso Gem
The major public course in Paso Robles. Corse is challenging and the greens are perfect. Staff was great and attentive. Would recommend to all levels of golfers. Double thumbs up!
Merced residents
Great greens the layout a little confusing for first time player goffer holes off to the tree area's watch your steps or you could be hurt.overall great course

Rode the Blues (6751/72.7/138) in slightly over 4.5H mid day on a GN "Hot Deal". Matched up with 3 nice guys, one was a novice. We let 2 groups play through then got caught behind a younger 4some on golf boards. They got their $$$ on the golf boards, they looked like snowboarders going down the fairways. Sunny, windy and in the 80's made for challenging golfing conditions.
Other than no rakes in the sand, almost no other obvious COVID-19 measures. Cups were normal depth, they provided divot mix and the bathrooms/water stations on the course were operational.
Tees were semi lush and most were well maintained for divots. Some could use leveling.
Fairways mostly lush with a good pad underneath. Both are beginning to show brown spots from the heat.
Rough was fairly lush close to the fairway. Mostly mowed down, not overly penal. Thinner the farther you got from the fairway.
Sand traps had good quality sand and were very well maintained.
Large, undulating greens were smooth, medium fast and they held irons well. They rolled nice!
Customer service was very good. Basic carts do not have GPS, and the course is not well marked for yardages if you do not have a measuring device of some kind. Challenging layout in nice condition. Both the layout and the greens are outstanding. Highly recommended.
Challenging But Fair
You will not be disappointed. Do yourself a favor and play a round of golf on a challenging but fair golf course.
Fabulous Day
A pleasure to play - challenging yet straightforward in parts. A few tricky holes, but hit it long and straight and you will score well - haha isn't that always the truth. Pace of play became an issue for us as we had 2 very very novice groups in front of us that had no etiquette or intention of picking up. Not the Course's fault but we did wish there was a Marshall to move them along. A bit windy but that made it nice and cool and more challenging. Greens and Fairways were great, well cared for. Lots and lots of gopher holes around the bunkers and just off fairways so you need be careful where you step. But we loved it and will absolutely be back for more!
Best course in Central Cal within at least 50 miles in all directionsCoast
Rode the Blues (6751/72.7/138) in slightly over 3H as a single mid day on a GN "Hot Deal". I did not have anyone within several holes of me the entire round. When the weather in Paso heats up, most of the locals play early. Sunny and close to 100 mid day with a gentle breeze.
Other than 1 person at a time and masks required in the pro shop, almost no other obvious COVID-19 measures. First time I have played with "normal" cups in months. They provide divot mix and the bathrooms/water stations on the course were operational.
Few level lies anywhere on this course. The fairways are generous in size, the rough is mostly mowed down and if you get off in the oaks its hardpan. Hilly layout with fairways framed by mature oak trees. From the blue tees, there are several holes where you cannot hit a low shot or you will not clear oaks between you and the fairway.
Tees were semi lush and most were well maintained for divots. Some could use leveling.
Fairways mostly lush with a good pad underneath. Both are beginning to show brown spots from the heat.
The rough was fairly lush close to the fairway, and thick enough to mess with you. Thinner the farther you got from the fairway.
Sand traps had good quality sand and were well maintained.
Large, undulating greens were smooth, medium fast and they held irons well. They rolled ice!
The customer service was very good. Basic carts do not have GPS, and the course is not well marked for yardages if you do not have a measuring device of some kind. Challenging layout in nice condition. Best course on the Central Cal Coast IMO.
Beautiful and challenging
Love this course. Third time playing it and it never disappoints. Conditions were very good throughout and the greens were running smooth and quick.
Hunter, Central Coast gem...
Rode the Blues (6751/72.7/138) in slightly over 4H mid day on a GN "Hot Deal". Sunny, windy and in the 80's. Played with Steve and Rafael as both their wives rode along as our gallery.
COVID-19: Masks only required @ check-in. Restaurant open to go only. No drink cart or water stations on the course. They did have divot mix bottles available.
Hilly layout with fairways framed by mature oak trees. Few level lies anywhere on this layout. The fairways are generous in size, the rough is mostly mowed down and the greens are very large.
Tees mostly nice with good coverage and well maintained for divots. Some could use leveling.
Fairways are nice to play from. Mostly lush and the ball usually sits up.
Rough is a mixture of grasses and thick enough to make longer clubs difficult. Lusher closer to the fairway. thinner the farther you got from the fairway. If you get off in the oaks its hardpan.
Sand traps had good quality sand and were very well maintained.
Large, undulating greens were smooth, medium fast and they held irons well. Some of my favorite greens to putt on.
Very courteous maintenance personnel on this course, they routinely stop if within 100 yards of a golfer. The customer service was very good. Basic carts do not have GPS. Challenging layout in nice condition. Recommended.
Great Course
This course is beautiful. I live on the Monterey Peninsula and drove over an hour to play this course and I was not disappointed. The course is in great condition, the pace of play is perfect, the staff is friendly. During a unique time of social distancing, everyone on course is extremely respectful.
I highly recommend this course.
Fun Course, illogical staff
I booked the hot deal which was supposed to include a cart. There were no carts available due to COVID restrictions requiring one man per cart. That's totally understandable, and I obliged to walk. The only issue is they had single use scooters available, but would only allow my friend and I to ride for an additional $22 charge. This is absolutely absurd and defied logic considering we were guaranteed a cart. Please hope golfnow rectifies this.
