Great design bones. Challenging greens. Super windy and difficult, but very fun. Rough and transiction areas could use a little TLC...
About the only option
The first time we played here the pro broke up several foursomes to twosomes to increase pace of play. This put all of us behind a group of two foursomes, one of which was walking. They were averaging about 20 minutes a hole which resulted in us not being able to finish and the tees were backing up. The second time we arrived a hour early. We did not ask about getting out early but as soon as we arrived he said we don’t get paid for you being here so we can’t get you out early. Even though there was no one on the tee sheet for another hour. He called us up for our tee time behind a foursome and another twosome which slowed down the whole course and we were once again stacked on the tees. The twosome behind us just went around the three groups. All of this could have been avoided with pairing up twosomes or sending them out before a foursome.
The course itself is ok. There is no cart girl, no bag drop, and you pay for range balls. The pro shop has a nice selection and there is a restaurant associated with it. There are several dead spots throughout. The greens were the highlight as they rolled great and were in good shape.
Beautiful
Very nice course , conditions were great, layout was great except hole 12 but maybe that was me. Can’t wait to come back.
Nice early Spring golf
Played an afternoon tee and was told by staff that we would not be able to finish a full round due to slow play and cart path only. It made for. A slow pace of play it took us almost 2 1/2 hours to play the front 9.
Challenging but fair
The course layout was varied with elevation changes and fairways with uneven lies. The course has force carries and several dog legs that require precision off the tee. Sand traps are strategically placed, while boasted fluffy sand. The greens were the most impressive aspect of this golf course; multi-tiered, fast, and smooth. Most of greens were of good size with diverse flag placements. You will be served keeping the ball bellow the pin.
Hit em straight
I played for $65…solid value for that price. Great shot makers course…be prepared to turn it both ways to score well. Highly recommended!

Challenging especially the back
Friendly staff . Greens in great shape . We did have the the slowest two some in front but passed at turn . Lots of forced carries on back .
Hunter is a quality course .
My only real complaint are trees in middle of fairways and the gophers ? There are a few holes that if you get out of the fairway your ball is going to be in a hole . Certainly don’t want a bunch of poison used . The course in general is well maintained and the trees looking very healthy .especially the ones in the middle of the fairways lol . I really like the forced carries on the back , The back is tough but really fun .!
Always a challenge
Club selection is a must on this tough but fair golf course you must use your brain and every club in your bag to successfully navigate your way around the facility…
