About
Although there are many other desert golf courses in the Phoenix area, Apache Creek Golf Club offers one challenging championship course that requires the use of every club. The golf course features wide open fairways and undulating greens that are sloped back to front, some are also double-tiered. There are also numerous sand and grass bunkers protecting the fairways and greens. Extensive mounding on the course cause uneven lies and water hazards come into play on a few holes. The most difficult of the several demanding holes on this golf course, is the lengthy par-5, 10th hole. Apache Creek Golf Club also boasts two practice greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sand trap, and a large driving range with various targets.

Golfer Reviews
Reasonable Course
Played 3/9, paired with a couple from Canada, they were fun! Staff was nice! Most tee boxes good, fairways nicely plush, rough is mostly dirt, and greens pretty good with a couple rather bumpy and some sort of other greenery growing. Should have more direction signage for next hole. Pace of play 4.5hrs. Would suggest more garbage pickup out on the course by marshals when cruising around. Golfers keep in mind this track has a lot of carry over desert dirt in case you’re not a long hitter. Golfers keep carts have club/ball washers.
Typical desert course average value
Course was well taken care of without much character on layout design. A couple of interesting holes, but overall average and average value. Friendly staff, piece of play typically slower on public was confirmed.
Nice track
We played from the white tees. The course is wide open with a few doglegs. Fairways and greens were in good shape for a place that seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Nothing fancy about the clubhouse but had food and a bar. Carts are gas but well maintained. Played 18 in 4 1/2 hrs. Stoney kept the pace of play going quick..
Course Continues to Improve
The course has shown tremendous improvement this season. Fairways are certainly improved-they are more consistent and mowed cleanly. Greens are better, but some grass conditions lead to bumpy rolling of many putts. Ball mark repair on the greens is very good. Some tee areas are difficult to place a tee into, but most are in good shape. Sand traps are raked and in overall good condition. The course is a challenge and fun to play.
Best grass conditions ever
Have played this course many times over the years and this is the best conditions I have ever seen. Only reason for 4 star course is the bunkers border on unplayable. Grass conditions are excellent
Much Improved
Played on 2/25, paired with another couple, who were very nice! Since the last time we played the course looks much better. A couple of the tee boxes need do overs, fairways really good, most greens are good. There are a couple with some other kind of plant growth in them but they mostly run true. The bunkers could use additional sand and some had water. This course is open with lots of desert, dirt, and gravel from tees to the fairways and could use more signs for guidance to the correct holes. There are portipotties but no water stations. The carts have ball/club washers. The course is doable!
Great Course
Great practice areas, greens and surrounding aprons were excellent, fairways also.
Nice variety of hole layouts.
Desert comes into play for wayward shots, usually can find your ball!
Apache Creek
beautiful day, course in prime condition.
Best value in the east valley
Great course for an affordable price.
It was an extremely windy day when we played. The course was in great shape. Pace of play was great, we played in under 4 hours. We were just a twosome so we did have to wait on the foursomes in front of us, but that is to be expected. Course marshal on course to keep things moving. Pro shop staff were very friendly and welcoming. If we are ever in the area again we would play this course. I would recommend this course to all golfers.
