Apache Creek Golf Club

About
Although there are many other desert golf courses in the Phoenix area, Apache Creek Golf Club offers one challenging championship course that requires the use of every club. The golf course features wide open fairways and undulating greens that are sloped back to front, some are also double-tiered. There are also numerous sand and grass bunkers protecting the fairways and greens. Extensive mounding on the course cause uneven lies and water hazards come into play on a few holes. The most difficult of the several demanding holes on this golf course, is the lengthy par-5, 10th hole. Apache Creek Golf Club also boasts two practice greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sand trap, and a large driving range with various targets.

Improved from 6-8 weeks ago
Easy to find. Easy check in can’t take carts to car. Clean carts with sand bottles and ball washer. Water for us at start tees pretty good some need leveling. Fairways good roughs ok. Bunkers with some sand. Greens pretty fast and almost all are good again. Waited on every hole but still done in 3:50. Sometimes tough to get out of driveway south. Price better
Much improved
Easy to find. Easy check in they know me somehow. Can’t take carts to car. Cleaned carts with sand bottles and ball washer. Water for us at start. Tees pretty good some could be a fair bit flatter. Fairways good roughs are ok. Bunkers with only thin layer of sand. Greens pretty nice compared to a few weeks ago. Played in 3:40 and waited on almost every hole. Sometimes can be difficult to exit parking lot due to traffic. Price getting better
The greens were the best Ive seen here
The greens were fast but in very good condition and true
Still busy season, course looked good.
Staff was great, the course looked good but the heat is starting to dry out the course already. It would be nice to have water back in the hazard on hole one and the island green. We weren't held up but we had league groups behind us who were right on us the whole time and we played in 4 hours exactly with a foursome.
First but not the last time playing Apache Creek
The greens were very consistent & fast. Hitting the fairways is a premium as playing from the hard packed dirt is "interesting " We'll be back!
Simple, yet fun!
For my first time playing at Apache Creek, it was a blast! I went in as a solo. The course was well taken care of and the greens rolled really well. The staff and management were friendly. The only slight downside to this course is the back 9 layout. There were times where finding the next tee box was a little challenging. I believe this is due to the lack of cart path on the majority of the course. Overall, a great, fun course and would recommend!
Great views & price
Love this course - greens were in good shape - pace of play was pretty good for this time of year 18 holes in 4 hours.
Apache Creek golf
I haven’t played this course in almost ten years. I played with my two sons yesterday and we had a great time. Greens were in great shape. The fairways were a little hard, making it hard to get under the ball. All in all it was in good shape and a fun course to play.
Fun Course
Fun course for my first time in the area. I am from Chicago area. Courses are much different than home. The biggest difference is that if you are off the fairway, you are usually not in much trouble, if any!
Save your money
For $90 go play Augusta Ranch 10 minutes away
This course is in horrible condition. Painted green fairways of overgrown Bermuda grass. A ranger that's on a power trip that if you stop at the turn in the clubhouse we were told we fell 2 holes behind in 5 minuts and told to pick it up.
Flew in for a golf trip and we had 2 T times booked here and canceled the 2nd one to play somewhere else. Should be a $45 course at best and that's if your desperate.
Foursome enjoyed the course
Course was in excellent condition. Greens were excellent
Great condition
I had read another review that instead of overseeding, the fairways had been painted green. I could not see any evidence of that. This is a desert course, so there is a lot of sandy waste area, but I expected that. What I did not expect was he excellent condition of the tee boxes, and the perfect greens and aprons. The greens were lush and fast, perfect for putting. Overall an excellent round, very enjoyable.
Wish it was better
Checked in early and was told I had a rider with me. Which was fine with me. And he was awesome to play with. Problem is there was no one to tell us who or where they were. So we both rode up to tee off and changed carts. The guy at the first tee who checks your receipt, needs to work on his people skills. Like really bad. So does the guy at the front desk.
Course was so dry and very little water. Dirt every where. I only live a mile away so I tried it last minute I’ve heard it was bad and so I expected it. But 94 dollars is double what it’s worth.
If you have new clubs avoid playing here as they will get scared up. I am a 15 handicap so I’m average. But it’s very hard to not hit from the desert when it’s 80% of the course.
