Apache Creek Golf Club

About
Although there are many other desert golf courses in the Phoenix area, Apache Creek Golf Club offers one challenging championship course that requires the use of every club. The golf course features wide open fairways and undulating greens that are sloped back to front, some are also double-tiered. There are also numerous sand and grass bunkers protecting the fairways and greens. Extensive mounding on the course cause uneven lies and water hazards come into play on a few holes. The most difficult of the several demanding holes on this golf course, is the lengthy par-5, 10th hole. Apache Creek Golf Club also boasts two practice greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sand trap, and a large driving range with various targets.

Terrible Customer Service
Played this course many times. Playing at a 4 hour pace got asked to skip a hole to keep up with the pace of the threesome playing behind our foursome. Have always loved this course but it's insane to be asked to skip a hole while you are playing a reasonable pace. Service mentioned they don't need to do anything especially after using a golf now hot deal because they don't make any money on your round. Definitely not coming back after this terrible customer service. Players actually caring about there round, abiding by the 90 degree rule should not be penatalized for other smaller groups speed golfing and driving all over the course to get to there ball.

What's Happened?
This is the worst shape I have ever seen this course, especially at this time of year.
Many of the fairways were spotted and had many dead areas. Some fairways were actually painted green. More importantly, the greens were in terrible shape and definitely needed a haircut. Needed a three wood to putt through them. Very furry.
If you are going to charge these rates, at the very least have the greens in good condition.
Not a good value for the money.
superintendent
pretty dry the fairways were painted green not watered island hole surrounded by mud .
Last time for me.
Rock hard fairways and greens and little to no rough. Bring a rock club as there is more dirt than grass here. Ranger was terrible, telling us we are a 1/2 hole behind while we were literally waiting on the tee for a group to clear the green on a par 3.
Desert dust
Lots of desert. Fairways in good condition, greens not so much. Too much dust. Need to blow then wash my bag after round. Too many fly balls from other fairways. Will not play here again.
Excellent Value for Price
Stay on the fairways & you are good to go…. Well groomed & greens very receptive…
Apache Creek
Tee boxes were nearly impossible to put a tee in, the ground was so hard. Same issue with everything except the fairways. Its like hitting off rocks. Doubt I will return.
Drying out some
Seems like it could use more water, fairways are browning out, looks like they just painted the fairways. The pond around #6 has been drawn down significantly. Most of the greens were good, #13 was fuzzy and patchy. Good staff.
Water this place
Extremely dry and dying fairways with lumpy fuzzy greens. Camon man. Y’all can do better. Wake up!!
Practice Area better than course
When you view and use the practice area. Specifically the chipping area, putting greens and the sand area near the chipping area, you see a very well kept and inviting place to practice. The course, however, is not nearly as well kept.
