Nice greens
The only real problem was the cart paths were damaged from the storms and they are behind on getting the course cleaned up. The value was great. Very few people are playing right now because of the heat but if that doesn't bother you, now is the time to play,

Like nobody was playing. mosquitoes all over the place. A single in front of us.nobody behind us. Use your spray and enjoy.
Torres Blancas-good value
The course was in surprisingly great shape even though the greens are not totally healed from maintenance. The mosquito problem from past years did not seem a bother; there were some other kinds of bugs in heavy evidence on the greens, but they didn't seem to bother us other than clumping together in our putting lines, but they were easy to wave off.
The only criticism we all had was there was no water at the clubhouse other than bottled water for purchase and only two water stations on the course. It was 104 degrees when we finished our round. No beverage cart either.
Mosquitos Everywhere
The course borders the Pecan Groves in Green Valley. They irrigate by flooding. There are usually mosquitos, but yesterday was the worst. I sprayed myself with bug spray they still kept biting me. I have huge welts all over my face and body
The course just aerated and sanded the greens. Probably won’t be good to go for a couple of weeks. I wouldn’t have played unless it was a really good discount. No fault of the course but the mosquitoes are terrible there. Deep woods OFF is a requirement.. I like playing there in the fall through the spring.
Bug control
We had a tee time of 615 it was super nice but the amount of bugs was super bad.

Hot, humid and mosquitoes and aeriated greens, other that nice to play golf no matter what.
Not great shape!
Overall the course was in fair shape. The fairways were all dead and the greens needed cutting, very furry! But the worst part were the bunkers, no sand and full of rocks. They should all be designated ground under repair or sand added to them and remove all the rocks in them!
Gone downhill
Course reflect lack of maintenance. Fairways need closer mowing. Bunkers have been mostly abandoned. Course needs more water. Greens were good though - rolled true and fairly fast.
