Torres Blancas Golf Club

The staff were extremely friendly, but the course was not in great shape. It was also the slowest round of golf I have ever played. Left after 9 holes after a almost 3 hour front nine. There were no rangers on the course moving people along. Worth a try but won’t go back.

We play this course a ton but less in the future. Our tee time was 35 minutes late because (we were told by 2 different staff members) that management added 6 tee times to the morning tee sheet to make more money. It caused us to finish our round 5 1/2 hours later than our original tee time. No frost delay... just adding tee times killed the pace of play and getting off on time. We totally understand that a course in Arizona has to make it's annual revenues in the winter when the snowbirds are in town but how inconsiderate to the golfers to insert that many tee times in one morning. So disappointed!

Very nice layout of the course, fun test for any golfer. Condition of the course was not the best. The sand traps were not raked, they had grass and weeds growing in them. They should be screened of the rocks and more sand added. Most of the tee boxes were unmowed, like teeing off in the intermediate rough. The aesthetics and condition around the tees was very poor. The driving range is one of the worst overall I have been on.Old outdated balls from lost and found,long grass teeing area,no grass on range. On the positive, fairways were very good, and the greens were above average.

Fun course, just needs a little TLC. Bunkers are basically waste areas, greens were on the slow side, firm and good shape. Fairways were over seeded but were in need of a trim.

Greens were much better than the last time we played there.

Don’t pay for 18 holes and take a tee time of 2:45. You would think that would work well - but NOT when you are backed up behind 2 other groups AT EVERY HOLE!!

AND, carts are expected to be turned in by 6:00. We barely got 9 holes in after back-ups at EVERY HOLE!! 3 hours and 15 minutes to golf 9 holes… and no offer of a refund for the other 9 we had paid for!!!

Tee off 2:07 was 2:30, line up of carts at each hole. Had to skip 5 holes to get home by 6:30pm. & it was hot & not windy (for once). Spent 40.00 to play 13 holes. You don’t have any special deals anymore. What’s up with that? Used to be able to play twice a week but now it’s not even once a month because of high prices.

Course is relatively interesting, and greens are decent and have pace. They’ve given up on the bunkers (I.e. not raked by crew daily) so never sure what you may get. Fairways fine, dormant rough is thin so balls off line will roll.

Main complaint is slow play and groups piling up on short hole tees. Makes for lONG waits. No attempt to space out groups off number one (not that it would be a cure). Back nine played much better, if you endured the tediously slow front nine.

Not as nice as other Green Valley courses IMHO.

Nice clubhouse and friendly staff. Experience it to make your own opinion, but don’t pay a premium rate if you do, it’s just not worth it.

I teed if at 2:30 and it took 3 hours to play 9 holes.

Extremely slow play - 2.5 hours for 9 holes in the afternoon Got ranger? Ken in the Pro Shop was great.

Lack of carts and every 7 minute starting times has become a problem. waits of two or more groups every hole up until the back nine. Course is in good shape except bunkers. Terrible conditon rocks, hardly any sand. On the verge of losing control of the course if it continues.

Course was busy which I was expecting, greens were lumpy to putt on difficult to stay on line to many bouncing rolls.

1. Clubhouse person doesn’t play golf and had no course in formation

2. I played alone. First time at course.

After 3rd hole there was not a hole marker to tell you what hole you were on. Unbelievable. No distances listed at the No numbered holes.

After 9 I had no idea if I had just finished 18 or wandered onto another course.

I met a 4some who told me I had just played 9.

And they were coming off 18. I told them my dilemma and they shrugged their shoulders and said “ we play here twice a week , we never think about if”.

Some beautiful holes on the course, and laid out well for a lot of iron play to stay safe off the tees.

Cart paths in disrepair and taking you off course to get some holes ( pretty weird ).

Nice restaurant and bar with a good menu and delivered well.

I never a golf staff member from noon on.
