About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Love golfing in the heat.
I don't get much of a chance to play this course in the winter months. So, when all the snowbirds leave and the prices drop I play as often as I can. I have to give much credit to the owner and staff for keeping the course in great shape all year long.
baked Arizona golf.
Fairways in bad condition, greens in bumpy almost brown condition. Half the bunkers had hard sand where I actually created a spark! Good thing their building a 27-hole disc golf course in Sahuarita that's where I'll be spending my time in fall and winter, especially when they jack the prices of golf up 75% because of snowbirds!!!viva disc golf!!!!!
Consistently my favorite Tucson area course
Best value of golf in Southern AZ. Conditions are probably 8/10 and they should be good enough for all casual golfers. Heat is getting to some areas of the course but hey it’s Southern AZ in July. I’ll continue to book rounds at San Ignacio year round. Layout of the course is sophisticated yet very scoreable. Abundant wildlife. Greens roll true. Love this course.

Disappointed
Very disappointed. Golf Now did not post that the front 9 was closed and had to play back 9 twice. Still had lots of plug marks on greens and fairways and several tee boxes were totally burnt and bare. Very disappointed.

Course conditions
Unfortunately a few greens an tee boxes were in poor condition ..not the norm ..ball marks on greens were minimal ..which was a surprise .. bunkers always ....well they what they are .. a little rough ....
I play from the tips so it is a great layout ..hopefully get the course up to a better playing condition ....thanks

Even though I only gave the course a three star rating, it was only because they had it just aerated the greens, but I’m sure in a couple weeks. It’s gonna be a beautiful.
