About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Enjoyable Day!
Fun course; great layout, decent shape in the areas you're supposed to be in/on. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Some of the view holes were spectacular and there are some real solid risk/reward plays out here. Traps need attention (thin veneer of sand on concrete) and some sections are a little baked and the ball can run through into some gnarly stuff, but I'll play this track again, for sure. Thanks for an enjoyable day!
Sand Traps were too rocky.
The course overall was good. However, the sand traps had too little sand and too many rocks.

Good Condtion
Enjoyable round. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Challenging back nine. While not a long course , local knowledge would certainly help on a number of holes. Fairways and greens are in good shape. A lot of the greens are elevated, and if you don't stay on with your approach, then you will need chipping skills to score well. I am disappointed that there was no cart service on the course.

Good play in Green Valley
San Ignacio is the priciest in the area but it is a beautiful course.

Pace of play way to slow.
5 hours for 1 round ruins the game.
Heard from others it is usually slow. I see what they mean. Couldn't recommend to friends without time warning.
