About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Very friendly staff
I love the layout. The course is holding up pretty well considering the heavy use from Snowbirds this time of year. The sand that was added to the bunkers last year is wearing thin, getting hard packed. Please get some sand.

Wonderful
Had two friends, one a golf pro, down from Washington State to play with me. They both loved the course. No two holes alike. Super fast greens. Elevations. Great condition. Course relies on old geezers to run everything. Everyone was extremely nice except the grumpy range picker. Have had clashes with him before! Walked up to a ranger and jokingly told him we like to order two Bloody Mary’s. We laughed and he went on his way. About fifteen minutes later he brought us the Bloody Mary’s! No charge. Range guy should take lessons from Rich!

Great course
Like all courses hit it straight or pay! Lol. Fun course well taken care of. Smooth paths not all broken up. Fairways are green. Greens in pretty good shape except for one par three hole seven. Need to move the pin. Couple of holes the cup was lifted so beware of that. Food great very friendly staff.

wasn't able to finish the round
We like this course very much. Had a 1:35 tee time. Actually started play at 1:40. They had a frost delay but assured us we would be able to finish. Only got through 15 and it was very dark and very cold. Play was extremely slow because they packed the course with people who were waiting since frost delay. they did not offer refund.
