About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Very Nice Course
First time playing. Somewhat challenging, but very fair. Interesting layout with lots of variety. Friendly staff, course was in good condition and price was reasonable. Couldn't ask for much more. Very good value.

Layout
Out of all the courses in green valley San Ignacio is the best I love the layout and some of the holes have spectacular views

Excellent golf course
This course is Green Valleys hidden gem and should be on the must play list. Tee to green it is the best of the 6 courses I have played in the area. By far my most enjoyable course.

Fun day with friends.. very windy. Cooperative staff. Tight course with inconsistent traps. Very promising..

Tough day in Paradise
It's all good but the bunkers need new sand. The fairways are shrinking too, getting narrower. Put some water on it. Not all of us can stripe it down the middle.

Conditions down (slightly)…
Getting lots of play, though operating efficiency, course conditions a bit rougher than last time. Many ball marks on greens tough to fix. Greens firm, pretty fast, hold OK.
Fairways not so green, bunkers good (improved).
They are serious about pace of play, monitoring.
Great club house for post round food and drink.
Very friendly staff, always a good time.

40 mph winds made our group quit after 9 holes.slow pace of play .

Th e course was fine but the wind, gusts to 40 mph, made play almost impossible. I. Plan to go back on a calmer day.

San Ignacio
Best public course in Green Valley but always slow play. Another 5hour round here. I quit play it in Nov. because of slow play. Gave it another chance, still slow. Waited at most every tee box and in every fairway shot. I've played it about 8 times now and always slow. I think I'm done here. No good excuse for consistently slow play.
It's frustrating because it's a pretty nice course.
All players have to do is keep moving forward. Don't camp out on a green. "I'm saying I would not recommend because of the slow pace of play."
